Friendly staff

I guess this is a very popular hotel in Rio because when I checked in, I noticed that there were six staff members at the front desk. I booked a Standard Room, but in my opinion, it should only be rated as a 2.5-star hotel. When I checked in, I noticed that the room had a terrible smell. I had to leave the ventilation fan running all night just to make the room more comfortable. The next day, my room was not cleaned at all, and I was not given any appropriate explanation as to why housekeeping skipped my room. This was very disappointing. The breakfast was good and offered a lot of choices. However, the breakfast area was extremely busy, and there were constantly long lines to get food, which made the experience less enjoyable. Regarding the location, ChatGPT had told me that the hotel was located in Flamengo, which is generally considered a good area. However, based on my own observation, I would describe the location as just okay. I noticed quite a few homeless people on the nearby streets, which made me feel less comfortable walking around the area. Overall, I had mixed feelings about this hotel.

The staff are really helpful and friendly. In general the standard hotel room is quite small. If other travelers expect big room, they may need to check the room size when booking.

Property has a beautiful view. Very helpful staff. Property is well kept and has a nice lounge.

Excellent hotel. The manager was very kind and accommodating. Excellent location. The front desk gentleman that checked me out (skinny, short dark hair) was not very pleasant, not sure he is in the right business. Overall the hotel was wonderful. Will definitely go back ! Room was serviced daily. Cleaning staff was mindful of belongings. Staff was very pleasant in general. Breakfast was okay. Amenities were not as well maintained.
