The room was large and very nice with great amenities. We also really enjoyed going to the private and shaded garden with a glass of wine to relax in peace and quiet.

Staff and cleaning crew are top notch. When you get there, they may let you know that you won’t be staying at the same building that the reception is located…remember, you’re in Amsterdam…buildings are only so wide and tall. They had us just about three doors down in a room that was better than the picture online. I will never stay anywhere but here when we come back. My wife and I could not have been happier with the accommodation. You will love the location, the romance of the architecture of the accommodation, and I encourage you to open the window and look out at the canal and watch an amazing city.

First member of staff who checked us in was pretty bad to be honest. They came across as if they really didn’t want to be there. I compared their attitude to the other staff and it was miles apart. Other staff where lovely and very good. Never found the swimming pool or spa area which was a shame as I wanted to use it

Very nice hotel in a quiet area but not too far from everything,the staff were friendly and helpful. There is a lovely bar and seating area ,we would definatley stay there again,it’s also only a 10minute walk from the train station,don’t bother with taxis. Plenty of cafes and restaurants near by as well .

The staff are excellent (especially the concierge and door staff), and location is superb but the building is just awful. I could hear people in adjacent rooms talk, anyone walking anywhere create a boomy low-end thud that pressures the ears, and for whatever reason the people I shared the bed wall with had a daily need to bang violently on the wall -- but only once (!!) and at around 8am. To make matters worse - all rooms have the same tired soft to the point of being painful and impossible to sleep on mattresses, compensated for by toppers which make the situation worse. It took 3 days to sort out some sort of a replacement topper which made the mattress bearable. If I hadn't been in town for a conference and had to be out for work all the time, I would have moved out of this hotel on the first day. I'm never coming back here again.
