Really lovely and highly recommended

Right across from the Guggenheim Museum, near the old city, and staff make a genuine effort to do things well and extend beyond the norms of service.

The room had several issues that affected the overall experience. The mirrors were not clean, and the toilets had an unpleasant smell. There was also an air conditioning leak, which was fixed during the day, but it was still inconvenient to deal with. The room amenities were limited – there was no glass or cup to drink water from, only a kettle, which felt unusual. Additionally, only one large towel was provided daily, which was not sufficient given the use of the swimming pool and SPA facilities. Check-in was only allowed from 2pm, and while rooms are often available earlier in many hotels, the reception staff were quite strict with no flexibility, which felt disappointing. On the positive side, the pool and SPA facilities were excellent and very enjoyable. The garden and bar areas were also lovely, and the diversity of guests added to the experience. Most of the staff were very friendly. That said, the hotel would benefit from improving attention to small details. Providing an extra towel, basic in-room amenities like tea, coffee, and a cup, and ensuring better cleaning and maintenance checks before guests arrive would make a big difference. While most staff were pleasant, there were a few individuals who were not as welcoming – this could be improved through better monitoring and coaching. Finally, there were some slippery areas in the hotel which felt unsafe, particularly for senior guests.

This was not as near the airport as thought. However the free shuttle was terrific. there’s nothing around the hotel. So unless you want to taxi all the way back to the city, there’s no restaurants to order from, no stores around, it’s in the middle of nowhere. For travelers mostly with no car, it’s not real convenient if you want to just walk to dinner or something. The restaurant inside the hotel was fair, not much atmosphere. Overall fine.

Staff on reception were very helpful and pleasant. We had dinner and breakfast and the food was very good with an excellent choice. Parking was available on street and also in the hotels underground car park. We would recommend this hotel and will stay there again.

The hotel breakfast was really good. The staff friendly and helpful. My only issue was the distance from Bilbao centre. The taxis were very expensive between €30 and €40 but there is a convenient bus sevice which was only €2.40 one way so we took that in the day but a taxi home at night
