Central Virginia Pet-friendly Vacations

Note that this is not a typical big hotel chain experience. This hotel is more of a quaint, boutique style hotel. As such there are minimal amenities. That being said, the hotel is very comfortable, the rooms are modern and clean, the staff is super friendly and helpful, and the Parlor Bistro has really good food. One thing to note, is that I booked a King Suite with a pullout sofa bed on Expedia. That room type does not exist. When I got to the hotel they had a reservation for a single king size bed for the four of us. Fortunately the staff was able to shuffle some things around and put us into a room with two queen beds (and a balcony!). We're very grateful they were able to accommodate us despite Expedia's mix-up.

Over priced. Carpeting old, rooms with outlets that done work. Dirty linens. Rooms not serviced even after being out all day, returning to a dirty room. Would have had a better stay at another hotel. Parking was $30 a day.

We had our choice of pillows. Bed was very comfortable. Could have used more countertop space in bathroom. The shower wand in bathtub was nice. Nice area in restaurant and bar. Didn't like to pay for breakfast
