County Dublin Romantic Vacations

When I am travelling abroad and if its Dublin Airport I am using I always use The Ashling Hotel as its right along side Heuston Station which I travel up to Dublin by train. Dublin Express has a coach stop infront of the station. I have been using The Ashling for years and I am very happy and have had great times over the years.

the Hotel Rui was everything we had hope for in a Hotel. Great Location ..The location was in walking distance to many sites. we stayed there on September 1st-5th 2026. There hotel breakfast (free) was outstanding ! Our room was clean, spacious and comfortable. I was traveling with my two adults son's . We booked the large family room ..it was very spacious , we had 2 full beds and a sofa bed. Perfect!! The staff was very friendly and professional. I want to mention your front desk clerk , Martin. My reservation only had one bed. Martin moved us immediately to the family size room . I would highly recommend this hotel . 5 stars Thank you, The Adkins

The hotel is nice. We were in a classic double room, downstairs in room 240. The room was small but quiet which was nice. The bed was firm. The bathroom had been redecorated and had a lovely shower with rain shower and regular shower heads with good water pressure and lots of hot water. The included breakfast made to order was wonderful. There was a large menu to choose from, all cooked to order and delivered fresh to your table. Be aware though of limited fruit options on the included buffet. The DART station is within a 5 mins walk and you can be in the city center in about 20 mins. The train does not run really often though so be aware of the schedule. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Pretty satisfied with our stay

Extortionate for what you get. Not worth the price, zero amenities, no gym, fitness, wellness, nothing at all. You’re literally paying for a bed in a tiny standard room that has paper thin walls. No breakfast unless you book direct even though you pay the same price third party, which only mentions in the fine print that breakfast is not included. Far better options available in Dublin City. I’d rate this hotel a 3 star overall at best

Beautiful castle hotel, great lounge areas and restaurants. The garden seems under construction but was available to sit outside for a drink. Very comfortable beds and fairly spacious rooms
