The lanai wasn’t the same one from the picture, and neither was the bathroom. Our lanai was dirty and covered in bird crap. I had to clean out the drawers myself before we put our items in, they had crap in it. We didn’t get what was shown to us, nor what we paid for. If I personally pick the room, and every different room options has pictures attached to it, I expect to get what I chose. And we didn’t. It was extremely disappointing. Also make sure the front desk has manners. They are the very first people we see when we come into the resort. They should be welcoming and smiling, with positive attitudes. You know warm. Don’t have a nasty unwelcoming attitude. Go work somewhere where you can be hidden and not with guests if your like that. The very first girl we dealt with was like that when we tried to see if we could possibly check in earlier. Samantha was excellent, and the girl with the heart glasses was kind. But the first girl, needs to work somewhere else.

This historic resort is a gem and one of the most beautiful properties to stay! The grounds keepers obviously know what they are doing! Unfortunately the rest of the staff (front desk registration, manager, many of restaurant staff, some pool staff, some housekeeping, etc) are borderline incompetent and not hard workers! Each year it seems to get worse.
The resort manager needs to go! We want this property to shine and be around for years to come!
