The friendliness and consideration of ALL the staff,made our stay special.They suggested the upgrades and food discounts without us prompting and were always attentive to our needs.
The rooms were clean and well appointed and felt luxurious, if you step out make sure to have mosquito spray!
The grounds are better than the photos,the beach was great for me but very quite this end of the island.
A short bumpy taxi ride will put you in the town in 10 minutes and costs around $12.00.
Overall our stay was great and relaxing.

The resort was amazing but the only thing the kids club was not accommodating for special needs children! So we could not drop off our kiddo , we had to stay with him ! At first they did allow him but the second he was not following their plan for the period he was there we had to pick him up ! I guess they did not have enough employees for all of the kids ! And they had a specific plan for the kids that all of them need to follow! It will be great if they worked at that !

The Valentin was amazing and we can’t recommend it highly enough. The property was beautiful and very well kept. The room, common areas, restaurants and spa were all very clean and well kept by a phenomenal staff who was very friendly, very helpful and all seemed 100% committed to making sure our stay was perfect. The restaurants were all delicious and provided a great variety throughout our trip. We also took advantage of the spa and enjoyed wonderful massages. All told I can’t say enough great things about the Valentin.

Nice resort. Staff were very attentive. Nightly entertainment was fun. We stayed in Building 5 and it was very quiet. Lots of food options at the buffet. We also went to the Rodeo restaurant and the Italian; both were very good. We really only had two things that we disliked. The first being towels for the pool/beach are refreshed each day by housekeeping. When we arrived two towels were available; however, the remainder of the week we would only get one fresh towel, resulting in us having to keep a dirty towel to use each day. The other thing we wish were different is the seating in the restaurants. On many occasions we were sitting so close to other guests it was as if we were having breakfast, lunch, and dinner with them. I get that staff may be stretched, but the restaurants were plenty big enough, and if they could just put one table between guests instead of cramming us all together it would be appreciated. This was most frustrating at the Italian restaurant. We were celebrating our 33rd wedding anniversary but were crammed next to a chatty couple for dinner. It made for an uncomfortable dinner when it should have been celebratory. Overall, nice resort, but there are so many wonderful places to stay in the Riviera Maya that we will not be returning.

We booked this resort for its location right downtown Playa. The location was great, but what was even better was the extremely high level of service we received from the amazing staff. Every single staff member we met, from reception, security, pool and lobby bars was beyond anything we’ve ever experienced. This is obviously a place where the staff feels appreciated by the owners. Will 200% be back.
