The hotel is in a good location, but the rooms are noisy at night. By 2:00 a.m., street noise and traffic can be heard . There is no on-site parking, so guests must use street parking and renew it by 8:00 a.m. ( free from 8 pm to 8am). Some rooms are below ground level (labelled Level 1, when in reality is -1). On a positive note, the reception staff is efficient and responsive. We were not initially given the room type we had booked, but the issue was resolved and we were moved to the correct room on the second night. Housekeeping could also be improved, particularly the bathroom cleaning. The Wi‑Fi was also frequently disconnected. We paid CAD 327 per night during the August high season, and at that price the hotel feels overpriced, especially since neither breakfast, nor parking is included. Overall, the value for money is disappointing.

We had a wonderful stay and would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Madeira. It had everything our family needed for a comfortable and relaxing trip—from the well-equipped kitchenette and espresso machine to the thoughtful touch of a collapsible drying rack for swimsuits and towels. The staff were exceptionally kind, welcoming, and always eager to help. The hotel itself was spotless, and it was clear that cleanliness and guest comfort are top priorities. Breakfast was outstanding, with a great selection of fresh, delicious options. We truly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be booking here again on our next visit!

Nice property. Probably great for kids. Prices reasonable. Walking distance in Funchal to downtown and the waterfront. Negative. The bed was hard as a rock.

Great location, a very frindly and helpfu staff at the reception, good breakfast, room with a great sea view, nice pool.

Outdoor pools/amenities close too early. Nothing going on at night anywhere in the premises. Our room wasn’t very clean and tub/shower was small/tight.
