Excellent location, great staff, and a delicious breakfast!

Great location. We suggest taking the river down to the city center every day. The free breakfast and coffee is great way to start your day. Schedule a spa day at least once so you can relax before the walk to dinner! Reception was super nice and even helped us call a taxi.

The hotel is in a centrally located area with very close proximity (walking) to major museums and shopping with no need for a car. Room was fairly clean but it seems long overdue for an update. Breakfast fee is €10 per day which is very reasonable with many choices of hot and cold items. The staff are very helpful and friendly and that is a great asset to the hotel.

Wow this place is amazing! If there was a 10-star option I’d give it a 10! The complimentary breakfast is so much better than our Rome and Venice hotels which were not as good and was not free. Beautiful courtyard to relax in. Just a wonderful place of peace. You won’t find a better lodging in Florence.

We loved this property. The room and view are beautiful. There are excellent restaurants and shopping around the corner.

If you enjoy a more intimate, smaller property, La Gemma is exceptional. Pefectly located near central Florence, yet quiet and very attractive. The rooms and public areas are very well maintained and spotless. I enjoyed the smart decor and tasteful details. The staff including concierge and reception were always on-point and eager to assist. Our room was well appointed with thoughtful amenities. Housekeeping was also very sharp with turndown and upkeep. We did not have time to eat at the restaurant but my restaurant friends in Florence speak very highly of it. As a hotel professional I thought the overall experience was fantastic and I would highly recommend La Gemma.
