Worth every dollar/ euro! I travel a lot for work in Asia, Africa and Europe, and have spent my fair share in many properties. The Fera hotel is simply gorgeous and its staff are amazing. From the warm, welcoming and professional team at reception to the cooks and waiters offering sumptuous breakfasts and lunch each day to the maids who left no detail overlooked while cleaning our room to the rooftop bartender who kept us hydrated and happy each afternoon through sunset. The building itself has been lovingly restored. We loved the details of our Superior room and its views of the city; the eye-catching and beautifully designed common areas (lobby, restaurant, rooftop pool); the incredible sunset views from the rooftop each evening; and even small details like the fragrant satchels of lavender left next to our pillows during each evening's downturn service. The hotel itself is ideally located in the Old Town with fantastic restaurants nearby and only 10 minutes from the Barra beach neighborhood. Highly recommend!

The property is beautiful, but the staff will leave you wanting more. This is a beautiful resort in a beautiful location. We found however compared to all inclusive resorts in other countries, the staff just had no desire to please the guests. There was no urgency or willingness to help. They just show up and do their jobs. Which for some people may be fine, but we are used to extreme levels of hospitality at all inclusive resorts. It all started from check in. We checked in after midnight which meant that the staff member who dropped us at our rooms was giving us a tour of the property in the pitch black. This left us to figure everything out ourselves the next day even though we explained to staff we got in late. Next was the housekeeping. The rooms were muggy and moldy. The bed was made but there was never a clean smell. In fact, it smelled like a dirty mop was being used. Next is concierge. There were instances on property that we discovered had an upcharge. When we asked about these restricted areas, we were only told, this is for prestige members. No one asked us if we wanted to become prestige members. Concierge didn’t make any effort to book reservations or excursions for us. Granted, we did not seek out any excursions, but again, the general lack of urgency from staff was not what we were used to. This is the first all inclusive vacation in my life where I tipped less than $50 the whole trip. Only the nice lady at breakfast went above and beyond. Would not recommend
