In room air conditioning unit was broken. It worked, but the display brightly flashed HELP all day long. We stayed in the annex and basically had the whole place to ourselves so that was awesome. Great location, helpful staff. Good deal overall

They only serve meals at certain times. No bar. Everything was extra extra like spa, happy hour, pools, etc. Very overpriced for the quality of the hotel.

Unfortunately, our stay at Hotel Splendide Royal Roma did not meet our expectations. The front-desk staff came across as quite snooty and unwelcoming, and our room had a very unpleasant musty smell. I understand that this is a historic hotel, but considering the price guests are paying, the hotel should invest in better ventilation, high-quality diffusers, or another solution to keep the rooms smelling fresh. We were also disappointed to discover that there is no swimming pool or spa at the hotel. Guests may use these facilities at the sister hotel, approximately 20 minutes away, but there is an additional charge of €40 per person on weekends and €18 per person on weekdays. I believe this should be clearly explained to guests upon arrival—or, preferably, before booking. Overall, we were not impressed with the service, facilities, or value. Sadly, we would not return.

Elizabeth Hotel is 10/10!! We travel the world and have stayed at other hotels in Rome, nothing beats the service, cleanliness and overall stay then this hotel. Highly recommend if you are looking for 5 stars in all categories. Thank you for a wonderful stay ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Amazing example experience

The Hoxton was nice. The only issue we had was that our room had a sewage smell. After the third day I told the staff. They sent someone and tried to say the bathroom needed to be cleaned. Being in construction I knew this was not a cleaning issue. They told me they would move us but could only do it during the mid day hours. This didn't work for us. We just had to deal with it for the next three. I would think they resolved the issue when we left.
