8.2/10 Very Good! (1,012 reviews)
One of the most unpleasant hotel experiences I’ve ever had. The first impression hits you before you even reach the room. The corridors smell absolutely awful, and the dirty, worn-out carpeting makes everything worse. Walking through the hallway felt less like being in a hotel and more like being in a neglected, stale, smoke-soaked building that hasn’t been properly cleaned or renovated in decades. Then you open the door to your room — and unfortunately, the same horrible smell follows you inside. There is no feeling of freshness or cleanliness whatsoever. The bed was another disappointment. It was ridiculously low, nothing like the normal height you would expect from a proper hotel bed, and the mattress was extremely uncomfortable. The entire sleeping setup felt cheap and unpleasant. But perhaps the most irritating part of the experience was the staff. On several occasions, instead of simply listening to what I was asking for, they chose to correct my pronunciation and accent. They would act as if they couldn’t understand me, only to suddenly say something along the lines of, “Ahhh! You mean THIS!” while repeating the same word with their preferred pronunciation. I came to a hotel as a guest, not to an English pronunciation class. It felt condescending, unnecessary, and incredibly unprofessional. And finally, my room had connecting double doors leading directly to another room. Even though they were closed, having those doors there made the room feel uncomfortable
