Great location in Niigata’s geisha district - who knew? Accommodation spectacular. Bathroom could use improved lighting. Other than that, beautiful accommodation with amazing staff.

I was arriving in Niigata by ferry, and so I picked this place because it was close to the port. HOWEVER, there are multiple places where ferries dock, and my ferry ended up at a dock farther away. I ended up needing to take a taxi to the hotel.
The view is phenomenal and the room was wonderful. The Chinese restaurant was very good. There was also a gift shop that was great. I had a lot of work I needed to do that kept me in the hotel, so I didn't check to see how easy it would have been to get...

Hotel staff was always very friendly and cordial. The hotel has a good ambience and the room was spacious and clean. The one negative was the archaic counsel and room lighting and ventilation controls adjacent to the bed. However, the hotel is convenient to the JR Niigata Station so getting around was relatively easy.

The hotel was great. Well located, clean and great facilities. The only issue was the long wait for the elevator. I had to wait 10 minutes in the rush hours.

Excellent Route Inn. A few long dark hairs in the bathroom was the only negative. Everything else was awesome. Staff are very helpful.

Highly recommend the Hotel Sunroute Niigata. It is convenient to the train station with many bars, parking options and restaurants nearby. Google translate the street parking lots if you don't use the hotel garage. Some have deals with the hotel where you pay a lower rate for overnight parking. I had great service from the hotel staff who helped me with figuring that out and saving a lot of money. We really enjoyed our visit to Niigata and Hotel Sunroute was the right place for us!
