Weekend getaways in Montevideo

I had a wonderful stay at FAUNA Montevideo. The hosts were very helpful with check-in and check-out. They also had nice attention to details that made the stay even better such as water in the fridge, pleasant music in the lounge, drinks, and snacks. The decor of the hotel is great! The location was close to everything I wanted to see, so I could walk everywhere. Overall, great stay! Thanks!

Beautiful bed and breakfast. We loved the attic room. So spacious with comfy king bed, wooden stove, cast iron soaking tub. Staff were fantastic, owners welcoming. Even provided room service or we can dine in restaurant. Lovely garden and pool. Will be returning .

The owners of the B&B were extremely kind and helpful. Our flight was delayed and we didn’t arrive until after 11 pm. The owner was there to pick us up at the airport (we requested the shuttle). They helped us with information about the area. Parking is rather small, so it helps to have a small car. The property is very secure - it’s surround by a fence. Annette was great, super nice the whole time. I would recommend learning spanish as most of the city people just speak spanish. The hosts were very gracious and we even ate dinner together a few times.

The hotel was very modern with upscale decor. The toilet seat had a sensor that knew when you entered the bathroom. The restaurant had sweeping views of the ocean. The staff were very friendly and accommodating.

The hotel was beautiful, unique and the location was convenient. The staff went above and beyond with advice and even helped us book our ferry tickets and order pizza for dinner one night. The bed was very comfortable. I would recommend this place.

This hotel is amazing! The staff is so courteous and helpful that it makes your stay so enjoyable. The hotel's location is perfect for walking to several places, a shopping center, the beach, or exploring public transportation. The room was a little small, but it was great. The place was designed with comfort in mind so, you feel right at home. Also, almost all the staff is multilingual which makes communication easy and the service amazing!

Wonderful hotel...I can't say enough about the staff, who were helpful and accommodating. The restaurant food at Tomas was some of the best that I had while vacationing. Very good location.

Spacious rooms, amazing heated indoor pool, although not many food options they were all fantastic and delicious, super friendly staff, great vibes and ambience nicely decorated all around, 10/10 recommend!!

For the location and quality of this hotel I thought the rate was very reasonable. The hotel opened Dec 1st 2015 so everything is brand new. The room (two double beds) was very large, great closet space, great view of the coastline, very nice and spacious bathroom. I arrived from panama and went to hotel directly. i was so tired of the journey but my wellcome in the hotel by the staff was awesome so kind and cooperative. very nice service i will stay there everytime i go. and i recomend it for every body.

It's a small, 10ish story hotel. It has ALL the amenities, though on a bit of a small scale. For the price I couldn't beat it. Large room with kitchenette. Nice bath. Indiv Heat/AC. Restaurant, room service, small exercise room, rooftop deck. Very polite, competent staff speaks Spanish, Eng, Portu. Possibly also German. Nearby: 3 grocery stores, 3 pastry shops, many restaurants (counter to first class), 3 each of cambios/banks/ATM, A huge public square w/ fountain...

The facility is new. The restaurant is excellent and fairly priced. The staff are very friendly and professional and all things considered, I extended my stay because of the quality here. Normally I do not like staying in hotels more than 1 week. I could be happy here for a month or more.

Charming art nouveau hotel in the middle of Ciudad Vieja. Owned and operated by a single family. Very friendly and helpful staff. Amazing decor that will take you back in time. Very unique and pleasing experience. Easy and enjoyable walk to any of the Ciudad Vieja sights, cafes, and slightly longer walk to Mercado del Puerto historic market filled with excellent parrilladas. Can't beat the price.
