Weekend getaways in San Simeon

I can’t think of any negatives to Sand Pebbles Inn. The staff was great, the view was amazing, the room was fantastic and the town of Cambria is a gem. What a fantastic stay!

Recently stayed at the Rigdon House with my family for my daughter’s birthday she wanted to see the Hearst castle, we decided to stay in Cambria. What’s not to love about the Rigdon House- the facility is clean , comforting and the staff is warm and friendly. It’s walking distance to all the shops and restaurants in town , there are porcelain tea cups for you to make tea, coffee, cocoa and hot cider in it and happy hour goes on every night. Wonderful weekend stay on the coast. Very friendly family owned inn. Rooms recently renovated, very comfortable beds, fridge, microwave. Daily continental breakfast delivered in a picnic basket to your room. Afternoon cheese and crackers, fresh brownies at 6 pm. Pet friendly, good choice of free DVDs to watch. Highly recommend this place to stay.

This is a wonderful place. The location is right in the heart of old east Cambria, with many excellent restaurants nearby. Service great. Breakfast is very well done by a friendly staff. The house is very old, with some steep stairs, so if that's not your thing the upstairs rooms won't be your kind of place.

Quaint and very nice. Staff was. Rey friendly and helpful. Very quiet and slept well after visiting Hearst Castle. We'll definitely be coming back.

We’ve been here before and really like the place. The only thing I would change is the shampoo and conditioner, they left my hair a tangled mess.

This property is excellent for a family. The pool is perfect. It is definitely better than being in Morro Bay. Less busy and more beautiful. I will be back.

We travel often. Marriotts, Hyatts, etc. Our stay at J Patrick House equals and exceeds the expectations you have for 4 star hotels. If you are in the Hearst Castle area looking for a place to stay, you MUST stay here. Linda and Ron will do anything possible to make your stay perfect.

Seeing as this was me and my husband's first B&B experience, we were a little clueless on what to expect. What we found was better than we could hope for: an incredibly hospitable and helpful staff, a lovely room, and quiet atmosphere to get the rest we were looking for. This motel/inn is in a primo location across from moonstone beach. The staff and service couldn't have been better. The decor of the entire place is beach/modern/cool and we loved it. Close to downtown cambria with is worth a visit and 2 doors from the Sea Catcher restaurant where you will find yourself in line an hour before it opens (with a glass of wine if you are smart). Our first stay at the Bluebird was wonderful! Such a lovely experience, the lobby is cozy and welcoming and service was great. Our room was nice, quiet and clean. Minor suggestions/improvements would be a more comfortable mattress (too firm & a little saggy) and a longer shower curtain so water doesn’t get all over the floor but they were so minor compared to how much we enjoyed our stay. We will be back soon!

The room was very spacious, and the bed was quite comfortable. The grounds and the building itself are very nondescript.
