Weekend getaways in Waxahachie

This is a beautiful old historic home that has been converted into a bed and breakfast. The room was large and extremely comfortable. The hosts, Mary and Howard, went out of the way to make me feel welcomed. The breakfasts were out of this world delicious! The B&B is near downtown Waxahachie and very convenient to the Scarborough Renaissance Festival. I highly recommend this place and personally will be staying there again next year when attending the Festival.

Wow! The staff was super friendly and very helpful. The room was really big with a kitchenette and so clean. The breakfast was really good too and you could make your own pancakes. Everything was great! I will look at spending more over night trips in a Residence Inn.

Overall great experience, we just spent 1 night at this hotel but we really liked it.

To the receptionist that loves pink I forget her name she should get a raise. Easy check in loved her.

I loved that there was a Target right next to us -walking distance and plenty of food choices like Olive Garden and Panera and Chick Fil-A!

Absolutely beautiful hotel!!! We got a suite with two queen beds and a pull out couch! Loved the kitchen with it! It was super clean anywhere you went in the hotel. Even the La Quinta side, our friends rented a room in there and it was equally as clean and nice. Pool area was also super big, the pool itself wasn't huge, but it was clean. Only thing I can complain about is our bathroom door wouldn't close all the way and our dead bolt lock wouldn't lock, room 323. Breakfast also was pretty...

My mother in law with dementia checked in by herself and the attendant walked her to her room, left her number and offered to check on her for us. She went above and beyond. I didn’t get her name.

The property had rooms that were available with hot tubs in the room itself. It was a cool feature.

I booked a double queen but they put me in a Queen Suite. There was a pullout couch in the room, so I guess they figured it was one in the same. I really wanted my sons to sleep in a bed, but it worked after all. I requested a roll away and the GSR was hospitable and obliged. The price was incorrect upon checking in (probably b/c room was switched), but the lady was agreeable and changed it immediately. The breakfast on the weekend and weekday was great!!

The staff was the very best! They warmed my heart.. so nice to be around nice people. Seems to be a thing of the past. We will absolutely be back simply because of the staff.

Friendly service and clean

The young man that checked us in was so nice and accommodating. Our room was very nice. Beds were great. We enjoyed our stay and would stay again.

First time in a hotel with pets, so far it’s been pretty good!
