Weekend getaways in Roseland

Next time, don’t advertise a hot tub outside for the cabins that DON’T have a hot tub outside. Everything else was awesome.

Nice and quiet location, very quaint. It’s inside Sweet Briar’s college grounds, which on a busy day requires registration at the entry security gate, no issues there, just a quick checkpoint for college traffic safekeeping we learned. The Inn itself is well maintained for an older building. However age is not an issue, all standard hotel amenities are up to date. It's not really the owner's fault at all but the place is built on a rather treacherous bit of mountainside in the Shenandoah. The website doesn't really give much warning about this and there isn't any sort of guardrails. There is a hell of a 'pucker factor' getting to and from the location as it's just one lane. But once you get there- My GOSH! So beautiful-- so inviting.. and so, so so sooo cozy! Makes it all worthwhile!! As I said before, unless a millionaire wants to donate $$$$$$...

Exceptionally fast wifi, great beds, cozy room, beautiful bathroom (and room), nice and clean...smelled nice, great staff, awesome HD TV, we were thrilled with this stay, and will be back whenever we're in the area. Only downside was not being able to pay through Hotels.com, but that's just a minor inconvenience.

Cleanliness and ease of check in

Our stay at Steeles Tavern Manor B & B was amazing! Every detail was meticulously thought out to make our stay the most wonderful time we have ever had! I would not hesitate to fully recommend this B & B to anyone. All kinds of wonderful places to explore in the area. The food was incredible. Ray and Melissa were perfect hosts. We are already planning a trip back there....

There was NO staff. Had an issue with the electronic lock to my room. Called a number and got instant solution. That's why I rated the staff excellent. Spectacular room and amenities. 8 miles from the southern end of Skyline Drive in Shenandoah. Very convenient.

Spacious, clean, a mix of historical and model tones

This was an awesome find while we were on the road and booking a stay within Virginia Wine Country. The B&B owners were super friendly and were great in providing insight into were to go nearby. Our room and bathroom were very clean and comfortable. The property has great views and has its own charming vineyard, which is used to produce their own wines.. Great location to stay and take advantage of the hiking options in the George Washington National Forest

The food was great! Only wish that they also had options for coffee or tea in the room and a gym. Otherwise the service was fantastic and the food was amazing. The location is terrific!
