Weekend getaways in Carlisle

What a relaxing and beautiful place to stay! This was our first Bed and Breakfast experience and it was wonderful!!! The service was top notch, and being a clean freak, I can safely say this place gets 5 stars for being clean!

Going to the Ref Cardinal is like visiting your favorite Aunt and Uncle’s house. Bill and Joanne have been doing this for a while and it shows. Joanne cooks up an unbelievable breakfast and both are great conversationalists. There goal is to make you feel like you are one of the family and I can say we truly felt that way. We had to visit Gettysburg College for our daughter’s XC meet which was only about 20 miles away.

We stayed here for a district swim meet. The staff could not have been more hospitable. They started breakfast at 6:00am instead of 6:30am, so the kids could have breakfast before the swim meet. The rooms were clean, comfortable and close to everything we needed. We will stay there again next year!

Just an overnight stay for business. Enjoyed the restaurant. Truly appreciated the quiet hallways and comfortable beds. Employees were attentive without being obtrusive. As a woman alone I felt comfortable with the hotel

Room was clean and breakfast was nice

I arrived at the hotel just as the snow began to fall. The front desk staff immediately was concerned and wished us safe travels out on the roads as I went to a restaurant that I remembered from 23 years earlier. The area was only suppose to only get 9 inches of snow but unfortunately totals was raised up to 36 (3 Feet) inches. Made it back to hotel after eating. Although the hotel is right off the interstate, I couldn't hear any noise all night. Friendly reception.
