Weekend getaways in Grundarfjörður

We stayed in the second room “seal room “ . This place was wonderful fir us since we try to save mkney by cooking dinner n breakfast. Staff was nice and easy to find the place. I have no problem with the place My only problem is some guest woke us up around 11 pm being laud in hall way chatting as sign perfeclly said rules is quit tim

The house is cute but the doors are loud and the walls are thin. But great value and nice spot.

The apartment is a studio of about 30 sq meters. It is well furnished with a washer and a dryer. Located next to the ocean in a small town, it is convenient and walkable. The location of the apartment is misleading. Its entrance is on the back street. It will be great if the owner includes a map in the instructions.

We had a great stay. It was affordable, the room and community areas were clean. Towels and bed linens provided. Plenty of bathroom and shower availability. The shower downstairs was amazing! Body jets and all! Close to a great little restaurant on the waterfront and cafe nearby for breakfast. All and all we were very pleased.

Check in was easy and staff was great! Stayed at another building that was closer to the water and had a great view. Room was very clean and bathroom was nice. Also had a great kitchen space to use and sitting area. Great location!

The towns on the Snaefellsness peninsula are very small - like populations of 100 - 2000 people. I note that just because of the numerous choices of amenities around this particular one. Walkable to restaurants, coffee, and a cute little grocery. We moved on to a much more remote part of Iceland after this stop, and missed the convenience we had experienced here. Felt safe and clean. No hot spring spa as listed. Could use a paint job but very charming little cottage

We had a great stay at this property! The room was clean and comfortable, and the ocean view made the experience even better. The kitchen was convenient to have, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Overall, it was a relaxing place to stay and a great base for exploring the area. I would recommend it to other travelers looking for a comfortable stay with a beautiful view.

Quiet place by the sea

Lovely room. Staff were excellent and very knowledgeable of the area. The food in the restaurant was absolutely delicious along with the included breakfast. One of the best hotels we stayed in while in Iceland

Really nice property. Nice restaurant. Very clean and nice guesthouse. Spacious. Property has nice geothermal lagoon and cold lake.. that was awesome. Nice place for kids to run around and play. Really nice northern lights. Would stay here again for sure.

Unlikely spot out just snuggled in front of mountains near the highway. Bright and airy maximizing the view. Restaurant services excellent and an outdoor spa nearby down the road. Property clean as a whistle too. Staff/owners friendly and helpful.

Everything was fantastic and the most important thing I want to mention is that we saw aurora twice last night. Amazing.

Great location. Fantastic staff! I can't say enough about Asta, the front desk clerk. I was having a personal crisis upon arrival and without even asking, she made the check-in process seamless. To me, that goes above and beyond normal customer service. The hotel is clean and quiet. They offer breakfast in the morning in a large dining area. It is very close to the harbor and main street. Would highly recommend this place.

Clean house, easy check-in/check-out, nice view of the ocean and free breakfast was good.
