Weekend getaways in Hopewell

Excellent.

I forget her name, but the lady at the front counter was beyond wonderful. Candle wood suites is lucky to have her representing them.

Even though staying here meant paying double what we would have paid by staying at the Quality Inn across the street, it was well worth it! The staff was amazing! Incredibly courteous and attentive. The daily breakfast selection was always great and the staff was very good at keeping everything well stocked. We had a great stay! It’s a beautiful house and grounds. Claudia was very friendly and pleasant and made us feel very much at home. The bed was comfortable and the room was so relaxing. We will definitely stay here again.

This beautiful home was build with love and we were made to feel like family. Every inch of the house has been put together with thought and is clean and very well maintained. Breakfast was prepared for us on our schedule and was delicious. I would go out of my way to stay here again!

Brand new!! Really nice rooms with amenities I’ve not seen before

Outstanding in every respect. Handsome restoration of 1914 home down to the smallest details. Mitch was a warm, gracious host with many helpful suggestions on places to dine and visit while in Richmond. Wonderful, relaxed but elegant wine and cheese serving, a tasty breakfast of fresh fruit, warm baked goods, terrific coffee and tea options, plus an offering of quiche. Our room was lovely, our bed very comfortable, and our bath and shower options were excellent. Every comfort seemed anticipated...

Rooms were spacious Customer service was pleasant

The hotel was beautiful and quiet exactly what I needed on my trip. I would definitely recommend it to anyone wanting to avoid highway cookie cutter hotels. I was able to wander downtown in the morning after a nice cup of coffee.

Clean and comfortable room

I loved my stay! The views are spectacular and the food at the restaurant below is delicious. The staff there are lovely and very helpful. Be aware that there is no front desk, you just call to their sister property to get door codes for your room. I liked this but if you’re looking for a traditional hotel, this isn’t it. They were very helpful over the phone and let me have a later checkout. FYI, the restaurant does not serve breakfast, so be prepared to drive to Smithfield or Williamsburg...

Staying on Capt Ron's boat was a great experience. Has everything you need, full kitchen, full bath, air conditioning and a very comfy bed. Ron met us at the boat when we arrived and showed us how everything worked. I would recommend this place to anyone.
