Weekend getaways in Kurashiki

We loved our stay in Kurashiki at Yoruya. It’s a small, intimate hotel located on the edge of the Bikan Historical Quarter, within quick walking distance yet slightly removed and quiet (at least when we were there). The service level and attention to detail were top notch. All the staff we encountered were courteous and helpful and made us immediately feel at home. Upon arrival, our bags were whisked from the taxi and we were offered a personal and attentive check-in. Our standard room was...

The location, condition, and service were fantastic. The hotel is also right on the famous old street and offers great walkability.

The room was incredibly spacious and well designed and well appointed. We loved it!

Simply superb friendly staff service from the minute we checked in & throughout our entire stay. A new standard in hotel hospitality. Quiet & convenient location. Authentic Japanese bathing facilities on top floor. Good choice of western food choices for breakfast. Modern decor & very clean.

We spent one night here in early January. The staff was very friendly and thoroughly walked us through check-in procedures. The room was very clean and beautifully decorated. The tatamis were comfortable. The unique Japanese style bath was great. One thing to note: the private bath and toilet are downstairs from the room. This wasn't an issue for us, but worth noting.

The staff was very kind and helpful. The breakfast was really good and the Japanese restaurant served a good quality food.

Clean room, Great Staff, literally right next door to a convenience store. Also great amenities so would stay there again

Great location, quiet, clean, comfortable. Loved the massage chair and the hot springs bath.

Excellent breakfast. Responsive and friendly staff. No frills in room but many amenities at front desk. 10 minute walk to station, and 8 minute drive to Sanyo. Shopping and eateries within a few minutes in all directions.
