Last-minute hotel deals in Northern Ireland

We loved this B and B because it was not your typical close to the city location. It was about 20 minutes outside of Belfast but being out in the country gave us a glimpse of a different Irish lifestyle. The location was spacious, the hosts very professional, our room had a wonderful queen bed and a huge bathtub which we enjoyed. (the only one we saw while in Ireland) It was a relaxing change of pace and we enjoyed eating in the smaller country towns in the local pubs.

We had a wonderful and quick stay! Such a fun walk to Kinbane Castle & the lost sheep baaa’ing at our window was entirely charming. Highly recommend, especially if you like animals :)

What a wonderful stop on our trip! The property was beautiful and Edele and Alessio were so attentive to our needs. We had a seven course tasting menu and breakfast prepared by Sonia Russell and Louise Hynes. The food at both meals was so delicious and there was so much attention to detail. We toured the UK and this was the best hotel by far. I loved everything about it. Nice, small apartment with everything you need. Responsive on-site service. Very friendly and clean. I wish there were more of these all over the UK.

Bishops Gate is a rare find in Derry! It is impeccable is so many ways… friendly and helpful staff, beautiful bar, delicious breakfast, and perfect location. We stayed 2 nights and had a relaxing stay. Need to come back and stay longer!

Cozy and quiet. Near enough to everything that we could walk. EXCELLENT staff, all around, truly. Very pleasant breakfast served downstairs each morning. Highly recommend.

Pros: close to the town center and the starting point of the hop on hop off bus tour. Several pubs with food within a few blocks walk. Cons: The mechanicals were giving the staff issues. The hot water system was off and on. The AC in the room was not working and since the hotel was at the crossroads of two main roads opening the window to get some cooler air made sleeping a bit difficult without earplugs. Everything was perfect. Cleanliness, amenities, comfort of the beds, hot water for the showers, spacious room and bathroom. I would definitely recommend Homestead Hilsborough guest house!

Beautiful castle dating back to 1625 AD, but had all the comforts and amenities of a newer hotel. Spectacular view of sea from room. The bed was amazing! Definitely our favorite place of all the places we stayed this trip.

Beautiful place, nice accommodations, helpful staff, and nice restaurant with really good food. Short drive from Belfast, nice to be in the country!

Great location, clean room, staff friendly

The Merchant Hotel was a bank in its previous life. As a former banker myself, I enjoyed hearing about it’s history, and seeing how beautifully it has been converted to its present use. Magnificent!
