The room was nicely airconditioned and I had a small patio with tables and chairs right outside my room . I could and did, just walk outside my sliding doors and either sit on the patio, or amble down to the lake or anywhere on the spacious grounds. We had a problem with a very noisy air conditioner. The staff could not have been more accommodating in moving us to another room for our next night. We reserved three rooms for two nights, and all of us had good experiences at Holiday Inn Express, Madison, GA. Excellent breakfasts, and great pillows! Very nice renovation of an older hotel.

The Colonels is so relaxing and hospitable. Colonel Mark is such a great host, great attention to detail and brings an instant familiarity to your stay. The historical aspect of the house and grounds provides great tranquility to the whole experience.
