I stayed at the Farthings Hotel for 7 nights and found it a delightful spot located in the small village of Hatch Beauchamp, Somerset. I chose to have all my dinner meals at the Farthings restaurant despite the many other local options. The chef offered fresh fish (bream, sole, hake and salmon) cooked to perfection during my stay and could not resist having bream two nights in a row! The house is beautiful. The room is extensively decorated and well-equipped. The lady and her three little dogs are highly welcoming. The breakfast is rich and pleasantly served.
It is originally a private house. Thus, there are stairs, with no elevator. FYI.
The Wifi in the room is functional for text communication. Less so for speaking (e.g., over Skype). It is stronger outside the room.
