However, the rooms had a very luxurious feel to them. The only negative from me was the lack of soundproofing in my room. I could hear the couple above me and next door, as well as their plumbing. Our room was spacious and yet had a really cosy feel. Our evening meal was absolutely delicious, as was breakfast. The view from our room was beautiful and we had a nice walk over Tarr Steps. Our stay was 5/5 lovely place, really nice staff and the food was fantastic we tried a variety the 42 day dry aged steak and the fish both for dinner and breakfast. Highly recommend the burger as well. Separate dining for doggy friends . You can only leave them in the room whilst you do fine dining if you remember to bring a crate . We’d of liked the breakfast options to of been in dig area too as walking through bar and up several steps meant it was a little uncomfortable for some . The breakfast wax Definitely the highlight , omg ! Supper was expensive but superb . My only down point was bathroom could do with a lick of paint around side panel but it’s neatly end of dragon and might be in the to do list ! Beautiful countryside, very well maintained hotel, great food at dinner time and breakfast.
