Super cute town and close to bike trail

My granddaughter and I stayed at Boarders for a week. From the moment we checked in to the moment we checked out, we had nothing but positive experiences. It has a country atmosphere, it's cozy, and everyone was friendly and helpful. We highly recommend Boarders as a place to stay while visiting Iowa. A big shout out to Daryll who was at the front desk when we checked in and for several of the evenings when we came back to our room in the evening. Daryll was always helpful and pleasant.

Upon checking in they had no record of reservation through Expedia. They said it had been an ongoing problem with Expedia. Luckily they had a room so we had a place to stay but I'm not sure I'm going to use Expedia from now on. We had a confirmation number but it never got through to the Motel.

This is a very nicely maintained hotel. Not everything was brand new, but everything was clean and well maintained. The beds were comfortable and clean. The refrigerator, microwave and morning breakfast were appreciated. The hotel is conveniently located and had ample parking. It was a very comfortable stay and I would consider it a good value for the price. I would be happy to stay here again.

When we checked in, we were told our room was on the second floor and there were no elevators, only stairs. I recently had injured my knee and it was difficult for me to walk up/down stairs. The front desk clerk informed me the hotel was very full and he didn't know if he would be able to move anything around. Since I had not told them we needed a first floor room, I said it was OK. My husband and I were in town for a wedding and had called ahead to see if it would be possible to do an early check in. The wonderful sweet woman who I spoke with made not of this and said sure. There is a small charge per hour to check in early but... it is well worth it. We arrived a little later than we expected but....our room was ready for us to check-in. It was super clean and ready to go! We had a lovely comfortable room! Thank you!

From the moment we arrived, Melissa greeted us. It was appreciated as we arrived later than expected. The rooms are clean and we had full control of the temperature. The location was perfect, we were walking distance from the casino, a scenic overview and a play lot for the kids. Breakfast was more than adequate with fresh Puck coffee. Great price for a quick overnight stay in town.Very clean and well maintained, towels and linens smelled so fresh! Bed was super comfy:) Close to train tracks so you will hear the trains if and when they roll by.
