I don’t know what to say, really, as words would be impossible to convey the charm, beauty, and real friendliness of the proprietors! We were overnighting for the inter island ferry leaving Picton so only stayed one night but wish we had time to stay longer. This hotel had only opened three weeks earlier when I visited, but it was already operating smoothly.

We had a fantastic stay at this property. The room was clean and comfortable. Communication with the front desk was great, we received multiple emails prior to our arrival with check in, property, and parking information. The property is located just a short walk from Cuba St. so there were tons of shopping and dining options located within walking distance. What sets this hotel apart is the attention you get from the staff. When we checked in we were treated like VIPs, not in a gushy, fawning way but as if there was nothing more important at that moment than explaining things to us and trying to get us a dinner reservation. The room was immaculate and the bed was the most comfortable on our trip.

One of the best hostels Ive stayed at. Great decor and vibe. Lots of lounge space. Free bike rental which I used to ride to Weta Workshop. Met some cool people while hanging out there.

Room was great with space and comfort. The trip from the car park to the room wasnt the easiest with three bags to take single handedly but it was managed. Room had great facilities including the washer dryer which was great. Kitchen and fridge was very useful and the bed was very comfortable.

Nice location: walking distance to the Railway Station and all the attractions. I received a suite and discount on food thanks to Expedia. The suite was very clean and had good amenities. The only thing that needs attention is the tiny, unstable space provided for putting soap and shampoo while taking a shower.

The room had everything we needed and was clean. The hotel restaurant was very good and the staff were pleasant. The only complaint was the noise. Outside the window it sounded like loud construction all night long. Very disturbing. Other than that we enjoyed our stay and thought it was an excellent location, and close to the car ferry dock to leave for the South Island in the AM.

A terrific value- a very spacious, clean room with kitchen, close to everything, complete with patio (love the fresh air)! Would recommend!
