This hotel is unlike anything I have seen in Japan. It has California/Palm Springs vibes thanks to the modern open air architecture, white washed clean buildings, amazing indoor/outdoor flow, and fantastic location right on the water.

If you love the idea of staying in a traditional Japanese house, this place is for you. Very clean and quiet. Nice to have access to a kitchen. The host was very warm and friendly. Close to the port, market and delicious restaurants. We were very happy with our stay.

Just the most incredible experience we've ever had in a hotel. So much more that just a hotel, it's a whole Japanese luxury experience. Every member of staff was just incredible - friendly, efficient and really made the experience from the moment we stepped off the dock on the island because they met us there. We stayed one night prior to beginning our bike ride. The hotel is across the street from from the Onomichi train station. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. The breakfast was excellent. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Biking up to this property is not for the weak minded individuals. But it’s a great property with awesome rooms and an amazing onsen and restaurant in it. Staff was very helpful despite limited English and I would stay again.
