We will definitely be back! Quiet part of the beach, steps away from having toes in the sand, and friendly staff.

The staff were all very friendly. The lobby smelled like orange blossoms which was so nice and really added to the ambience. They were doing some construction at the property to build a new pool facility but it didn't negatively affect our stay.

The room was super cute and retro. Short walk to public beach access, restaurants, shops, and live music. Room was cozy and the bed was very comfortable. Loved the bench outside each of the doors. Will definitely return.

I did not know what to expect from this this place. The rating said a 2 star so I wasn’t expecting a lot. When I check in Ms. Debi showed me the room and I was really surprised. This place was clean and well kept up. I really felt comfortable in this room and it felt a lot like being home. Ms. Debi was very nice and knowledgeable about the area, She told me about the island, the area, places to eat and things to do. The location is great and the staff were very friendly. And the view of the ocean was lovely. Really enjoyed the stay. The bathroom could be updated a little as the bathtub fixtures were rusty, but it was great for the price and how close it is to the ocean and boardwalk.

The rooms are very comfortable, clean, and include many amenities - including mini fridge and microwave. Love the coziness, security, and excellent location of the Dry Dock Inn! Will definitely be back.

Amazing stay! Our room was super clean and just a block away from the boardwalk. Check in was super easy and staff was very responsive. Will def be staying again!

It was so clean! No dirty animals drooling and peeing/ pooping in the common areas or rooms! YAY! We switched from another hotel chain because the rooms and lobbies in the other chain had become filthy and dangerous due to animals- we have been almost attacked by German shepherds and other dogs on other hotels. So glad to find a HUMAN FRIENDLY hotel!!

First off, the staff here is lovely. They are attentive, knowledgeable, and pleasant. The rooms have a microwave and a fridge that actually keeps things cold (you know what I'm talking about) in each room. Downstairs, they sell microwave meals and snacks at a reasonable price. The sheets were extremely soft, the mattress didn't hurt my back, and there were various types of pillows. I found the perfect pillow to meet my preference. They had Neutrogena products! The thermostat worked perfectly!...

I was very pleased with my stay here. The room was nice and clean. The ocean view from our balcony was beautiful. If you come to fish the kure beach pier is right next door. Contactless check in was nice, once I booked through Expedia I received texts with my room number and access code. So easy and convenient!!! I will definitely be coming back to stay here!

It was our first time staying in a room with the kitchen there and it had everything you could possibly need! It was like an apartment for sure! Highly recommend!

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and well stocked with dishes and linens.

As always the hotel staff go out of their way to accommodate our family and make sure our stay was a nice as possible. We arrived early and they rearranged rooms so that we could get into our rooms as soon as possible without additional cost.

This is a great property at Oak Island. It is very clean and economical. It also has a small refrigerator and microwave in the room. The only missing item was a hairdryer. It is within walking distance to several restaurants, shops, bars and even ice cream! It is pet friendly, but rooms are so clean you would never believe that a pet had been in the room. I will definitely stay here again.
