"It's a bit of an up-hill trek to this hotel, but totally worth the effort. This historic property sits at the base of the Matterhorn, which we could see from our balcony. It was lovely. The property is very charming, but the staff at the desk was less so. And the beds were quite hard. However, I would still highly recommend this hotel."

"Gorgeous little hotel, a real gem of a find. We had the best welcome of the week here during our train tour of Switzerland. A warm welcome and even a lovely bar of chocolate when we left. Lovely room with a balcony and just around the corner was the Matterhorn. Very generous breakfast with lots of choice and busy and attentive staff replenishing everything. Would definitely recommend. "We stayed here for 4 nights, and enjoyed the hotel. Our room (mountain view does not mean Matterhorn) was a good size, comfy beds and seating. A Kettle to make tea and coffee was appreciated. Hotel is just a 5 min walk from the train station and a supermarket, and close to many restaurants. They serve a good breakfast, as well as complimentary coffee and cake in the afternoon. Overall, good location, good sized room and good breakfast made for a pleasant stay. "

"A family run hotel with terrific views of the Matterhorn. Electric shuttle picked us up and dropped us off at the train station on arrival/departure. A free local bus allowed access to downtown but service ended at about 7:30PM and the walk back would be pretty uphill and take half an hour.
