This is a modern hotel in the eastern suburbs of the city. The surrounding area is a bit characterless (ex-communist blocks of flats) but it is easily accessible by tram both from Schonefeld Airport (without having to go into the centre of the city) and from the city centre which is about 15 minutes away. The trams run every few minutes throughout the day. We were a family of three on a short holiday break and they brought an extra bed for the room, but we still had plenty of space and all the beds were comfortable. The room got a little stuffy and we had to keep the window open (and might get too hot in summer) but otherwise we found the hotel very comfortable. The breakfast is quite expensive at €13/head but was a substantial and pleasant buffet. We didn't eat in the hotel for lunch/dinner so can't comment on that. There aren't many nearby eating places - but with the city centre so accessible we didn't find that a problem. I would definitely recommend this hotel, which was also exceptionally good value (in February at least).
