No hot water!!!!

Posted Apr 28, 2015
I had no hot water for the entire length of my stay. The sad fact was that they knew that some of the rooms didn't have hot water and still rented them out. The other sad fact is that they told us that they could not compensate us in any way since we booked through expedia. It was reported to multiple staff members including management and nothing was done.

Our 20th Wedding Anniversary Getaway

Posted Apr 23, 2015
Pros: Beautiful Grounds & pools! Quite & Great food & restaurants, and special thanks to shuttle driver Mark(most informative & kind), Marilyn,Marie&Selma!!
Cons: Provide check-in info prior to arrival via email! Like book provided in the room. More shuttles later evening to other Divi's & all inclusive partners
Location: Island tour, sunset cruise, shopped, beaches, pools, sister resort visits. entertainment each nite was fun! Location was perfect !
Overall, our trip was fabulous! The grounds at Divi Viliiage Golf & Beach Resort are phenomenal and extremely well maintained! Such beauty all directions you look! Our 1st day and/or first couple hours were a bit confusing, but after several calls to the front desk, things were somewhat handled to our satisfaction. First there was an issue with our non-inclusive not being in place. It was even mentioned at check-in, but apparently was an over-sight at checked-in. We had to go back up to the desk again to sign more papers and get our wrist band for the all inclusive. At this point we were a bit frustrated because we had been traveling for many hours and had nothing in our room to drink and had no idea how to get around the resort or what to do. Shuttle driver Mark was so helpful with filling us in with lots of info. He is wonderful! Another one of the problems was the ground level room we got smelled musty or moldy. However, no mold appeared to be anywhere. We did get a dehumidifier brought to our room. I'm not really sure it helped, but didn't want to spend anymore time trying to get the issue handled or in getting another room. We were not there for that reason. We just wanted to relax and take in as much of Aruba as we could. Loved washer & dryer in rooms!!

Never again. Not worth it. Much ado about nothing.

Beware of the hidden fees! I paid for my entire stay at the hotel in advance but on arrival at the hotel, a deposit of $300 USD was demanded. I was not allowed to check-in or given access to the room unless it was handed over to the reception clerk. The hotel surroundings are clean, but rather bland. A cold and univiting place really. The walls are thin and I heard every conversation on both sides of my room. It's not a place I would recommend or return to. Really over-rated and over-priced. Not worth it.

Nice hotel. Quiet & close to beach.

Posted Apr 20, 2015
Pros: I liked that there was more than one choice for onsite restaurants. Easy to get around property to pools and restaurants. No indoor corridor made it
Relaxing vacation with a nice place to stay. Staff was very nice too.

Literally across the beach

Posted Apr 13, 2015
Pros: The staff was awesome!
Cons: The wifi was not powerful enough.
Location: The beach, the flea markets, the beauty and wellness spa
We stayed at the Divi Golf and Beach Resort and it was exceptionally wonderful. We were in the building with an elevator and the building entrance was right across the pool and the restaurant-bar. The beach was just across the street, not even three minutes of a walk from our building. The beach is beautiful, very clean. We missed our flight and we were informed that our reservation will not be cancelled. However, they did give away our studio suite... and we got upgraded for free to a one-bedroom suite. We got a full kitchen, dining room, living room, balcony, two bathrooms. It was very pleasant. The cleaning staff is incredibly proactive. Any towels that we leave hanging on hooks, they leave alone and still replenish us with additional fresh ones. The same with the shampoo, conditioner, and lotion - everything was replenished everyday. We also left some plates and glasses in the sink one morning and when we came back in the evening, everything was washed. The other hotel staff were the same; we were given rides from one place to another instead of simply given directions. Just an incredible experience overall.

Great stay, would come back.

We had a great stay a Divi Golf and Beach. rooms are clean and spacious. We would definitely come back here. We saw much of the island, and for what we like, we were very happy with our choice. Divi has an area to grill.... which I suggest unless you do all inclusive. We didn't, based on advice about fine dining on the island, which we found very expensive and disappointing. Divi golf is mid-way between the cruise terminal area and the hi rise area, a visit to both areas is worth it and a reasonable can rise, but personally I wouldn't want to stay either area, very busy and commercial.
