Why are we giving a terrible review? We had a trip to Aruba scheduled for our 25th wedding anniversary and while we were sitting at the airport waiting...our flight got canceled and the airline could not get us another flight to Aruba. So, we never made it to the hotel and could not get a refund or credit to come at a later date. So I paid $2400.00 to stay home. I have stayed at RIU hotels for the past 15 years and will never book with them or expedia again.

Property was ok , service wasn’t the best. PNight life sucks. Bar closes too early , music at the pool is played very low. Nice but I wouldn’t return and food was horrible.

I was expecting better considering the price we have paid for this hotel. My first night, we have waited an hour to be seated in a steak restaurant and ended up being served with a Rib Eye steak wrapped with a long hair. Of course stuff apologized for the inconvenience and offer to replace with a different meal… pool towels filthy with red blood, juice, i don’t know what it is but reddish red and black oil stains. It was multiple occasion, I ended up going back and changing it. Sad part is no apology and when you mention it, they ignore hearing you and changing the returned towel with a new one. Also since it is a private beach due to winds, there are huge palm tree leafs around the sunbathing area loose and on the beach and no attendants trying to move it. I can go on with many minor things but i would like the pic the major and sanitary problems to bring it to anyone who is considering to stay in this hotel. P.S quality of the alcohol and the food being serve is awful. At the lobby bar, bartender who is making the drinks using spanish curse word , put.. while he was preparing our drinks. Yes, we may talk english but we can understand the curse word in spanish…. It was the biggest turn off for us. Next time, I will pic non inclusive , regular hotel and I’m sure we will enjoy more. Disappointed
