I went here for my fiancé birthday RIU Antillas was under construction, every floor leading up to the bedrooms smelled like construction workers/sheet rock. I paid for a junior suite with an ocean view and the room looked like a standard room, very basic. We decided to switch room because there was nothing stating “Suite” about the room. Next day we switched rooms and it gets worst. Tv didn’t work they had to bring us a whole new tv and our hotel phone in our room DID NoT work. I went to the front desk and notified them and nothing was done, so 5 days in the room without a working phone. Every time we needed something we had to get up and go downstairs to the front desk. Everyone had to take a Covid test (PCR) which was costly if you didn’t have the Qualifying insurance, we all tested “Negative” and still had to wear mask throughout the hotel. The food was ok! There was no liquor in our room like they use to have, only beer, soda & water in the mini-fridge. NO Room service! U can only eat in the designated restaurants, and if you wanted to take your food upstairs to your room you had to speak with a manager. The overall experience in “Aruba” was great but poor service at the hotel. There were two workers that tried their best to help us Lori & Dimani. However, there were things that were out of their control. I will not be staying there again!
