Good location for NEC but beds too hardPosted Aug 30, 2014
Pros: Location, Staff
Cons: Bed, TV
Location: Best for NEC / LG Arena events. Next door to Birmingham Airport and Birmongham International train station.
This hotel is about 10 minutes walk to the LG Arena entrance or other parts of NEC so it is a good location for those events. The staff were freindly and helpful but breakfast seemed understaffed. By about 8:30 - 9:00 you started to feel like they wanted to shut down breakfast even though it is supposed to be served until later. The room was fine, pretty typical of this type of hotel. The TV was an ancient 17" 4:3 ratio LCD screen with not a great picture and oly about 8 channels. The bed was really quite hard so no t very comfortable for most people (I like firm but this was hard for me). The bathroom was quite nice though. No WiFi possible in rooms but free insternet via ehternet cable for laptops. Free WiFi in bar.

Convenient to NEC.Posted Aug 17, 2014
Pros: The fact it was so close to the NEC and it was comfortable and friendly.
Cons: A sign with ome sort of directions to the NEC would have been useful.
Very convenient to the NEC although a sign near the NEC to direct you to the hotel would have been useful. The food was good and reasonable and the receptionist was very happy and friendly even to us old ladies! Bed very comfortable and the room was certainly clean and big.

New modern Hotel, close to the airport.Posted Aug 5, 2014
Pros: Clean, fresh decor, Delightful staff It did all the things that it said very well.
Cons: If you are big the beds were small and we would have preferred a twin bedded room, which apparently is not on the menu. A few more pictures.
Location: Perfect for travellers or for business. Good meeting rooms available and plenty of parking
Delightful staff who could not have been more helpful and obliging. Hotel is modern and therefore everything is very fresh and shiny. Rooms were good, bathrooms were good. The breakfast was very good and good value at £10.00 We also had something to eat in the evening and it was simple but very well done. Situation is good, close enough to the airport but far enough away to be quiet. This was the nearest I have come in UK to American value hotels.

Won't be returning!Posted Aug 5, 2014
We knew not to expect much as it was only £62 a night. However I was still disappointed. The bed was uncomfortable, the tv didn't work and wireless was only available down stairs even though it was advised in the room. Staff said they would send someone to fit the tv but no one ever turned up. The bed was small and uncomfortable for two and we didn't sleep a wink. The only good thing was the air con but even that was noisy! Not impressed and won't be returning.

Ideal for the airport but not airport hotel price!Posted Jul 21, 2014
Pros: Staff were very polite and helpful. Excellent location for Birmingham airport, Birmingham International station and NEC.
Cons: Decor could do with a slight refresh.
Speedy, efficient check in and out. Very welcoming and friendly staff. Perfect for a stop over with a comfortable bed and large en-suite shower. Dog friendly.

Did the job nicelyPosted Jul 10, 2014
Nice and clean, and near the train station. TV could do with an upgrade, but overall the room was good! Only downside was the parking fee... However I managed to aquire the code without having to pay :)

convenient for airportPosted Jul 2, 2014
5 minute walk to the free shuttle for the airport, the NEC and the train station. We were meeting someone arriving at the airport and found it perfect for that purpose. It was easy to find and to park. Online booking was easy to do. Clean room with good facilities.
Not the best ramada hotel i've stayed atPosted Jun 29, 2014
Pros: The bathroom
Cons: the room itself was not very spacious, bed not very nice.
I've stayed at Ramada in Grantham and it was beautiful! So clean and very spacious, just lovely and so I was quite shocked and very disappointed when I entered our room, it was really small and cold; the bed was a lot smaller than i assumed it would be and it was very low which made it even less appealing. We managed to work the heating fine and the bathroom was clean and so that was ok, but overall I must say I was not happy with the room. Also we were greeted by a lovely gentlemen who checked us in and I paid for the parking and was given a ticket to confirm parking and stated a code. However when we were checking out there was another gentlemen and he was in the process of checking us out and he said we did not pay for parking, when I showed him the parking ticket he still insisted there was nothing on the system and so could not have been paid for. I was persistent that I had paid for a ticket as there would be no other way of me having a ticket and it was then he said that it was ok. So that was not a great way of leaving the hotel either. Overall unfortunately the stay was disappointing.
