Nice, Clean, Convenient and great staff

Posted Sep 2, 2014
Pros: convenient, clean, great customer service and good price
Cons: fan in the room didn't work and it seemed to be that alot of them weren't....beds were a little too hard for us
Location: convenient....right off of I-5; we went to the vortex and the caves....very interesting and very fun!
Nice hotel, clean, convenient....staff was excellent, especially Katie! Beds were a little hard...we had to move to another room with a working fan, but Katie was so diligent in finding one for us that we moved within hours of our request! The customer service was excellent!

Nice hotel, not Great pool

Posted Aug 26, 2014
I loved everything about my stay, accept for the pool. It's a tiny, walled in cubby like Area. The maintenance man put chemicals in while I was there, then again when a second person was also swimming. It was very bad if you enjoy some time in the sun like I do

Great old-school charm

Wonderful staff!! Feels "mature"... Old but well taken care of. Our room was very clean, everything worked well. Staff was extremely friendly. Great breakfast selection!!

Ok for a pit stop

Expected nicer accommodations for a Shilo Inn. It was much older and out of date than any we have stayed in. The staff was great though and the continental breakfast was good.

Affordable hotel

Posted Aug 20, 2014
Pros: I really liked the affordability, the staff, the easy access on and off the freeway, the room size was amazing, as was the bathroom and furniture.
Cons: Cleaning the room more thoroughly, i.e., the walls and tub.
Location: Grants Pass...I did not explore the area as I was traveling through following a death in our family in Washington.
I appreciated the affordable rates of this hotel. However, I would suggest cleaning the bathroom walls and replacing the rusting and damaged (although once repaired) tub and fixtures of room 205.

Nice Hotel in Grants Pass

Posted Aug 17, 2014
Pros: We enjoyed the nice clean room and the continental breakfast.
Location: We were on our motorcycle, but the Rogue River is nearby and it would be fun to go river rafting sometime.
After staying at some older motels along the WA & OR coast, we were pleasantly surprised by the clean, orderly hotel in Grants Pass.

Half updated, full recommendation.

Some of the rooms have new mattresses, they are working on all of them. The rooms were clean. The staff was nice and friendly. The lady that helps with breakfast was wonderful. But I'd bet that some people just want to do their own thing.

well pleased

Posted Jul 30, 2014
Pros: see above
Cons: the decor and renovations could be better. the carpet was dark and lightening dim.
my daughter and i at the last minute checked in to this hotel. even though dated, it was so comfortable. the attendant at the desk was very friendly. actually my dauaghter who is 16 has been in hotels over the world (as we are physicians and travel widely for humanitarian work.) she said you know mommy even though it was old and we actually had a real "key" she says it was on of the best stays she has had. thank you shilo. also the hotel in grants pass offered a discounted guest pass at 8.00 to work out at the northwest spa facility. as an aavid exerciser i would say A . would travel and stay there again in a heartbeat.
