Beautiful beach, great food, very relaxing...Posted Dec 8, 2014
Pros: Quiet, pristine beach, great food, super nice people...
Cons: Maybe just some updating of the rooms, furniture, paint, lighting was a little lacking.
Location: Jimmy Buffets Margaritaville, half mile away. Ricks Cafe and the caves by catamaran. Other excursions form horseback to diving to full spa on site.
If what your looking for is the BEST 1200 feet of oceanfront beach, nothing but other adult couples, (no wild and drunk late teen early twenties), and some great food, look no further, book now. My wife and I went as a last minute anniversary getaway for a week. We will definitely go back. It's about 1 hr and 20 minutes from the airport, we didn't hear a jet all week, (only heard 1 police car drive by with siren on all week). It's very quiet, relaxing, bars open at 10am if you like, (we waited till afternoon). This resort has everything you could want. For 2 of the nicer restaurants you do have to make reservations, but, the food at the 3 other restaurants is just great as well. There was not a pebble or piece of seaweed anywhere on this beach, they drag a York Rake behind a Kubota tractor every morning at 6 sharp. When you come to the beach in the morning its totally clean and fresh. We stayed in building 34(beachfront), close to The Palms restaurant where they have nightly entertainment, if your a light sleeper (like me) it'll keep you up till 11:00, but then it's over. Plenty of beach lounge chairs with large cushions that you can take into the ocean and float on. Water always seemed warm, there's also 2 pools, 3 hot-tubs, and a swim up bar. Daily restocking of your in room frig, with whatever you want. Our room seemed a little dated as far as furnishings and fixtures, but totally livable, again, we will definitely be back.

Best Caribbean All Inclusive!Posted Dec 5, 2014
Pros: I liked the food quality and options. The rooms were always clean and up to date. There was WiFi available throughout the resort.
Location: Rick's Cafe, YS Falls, Cave Swimming
Couples Swept Away was by far the best all inclusive resort we have visited in the Caribbean. The food was great and always available. The rooms were spacious and updated. The resort had a very tropical and natural feel. The beach was extremely clean, and mainly sandy (no rocks or reefs). The hotel staff was very friendly and constantly ready to help with a smile. The resort's all inclusive packages was by far one of the best. Just about anything, including daily catamaran sunset cruises and diving boats, water skiing, kayaking, paddle-boarding, fitness center etc were included in the price. The resort was located close to a lot of other local attractions.

Thanksgiving at Couples Swept AwayPosted Dec 1, 2014
Pros: The servers on the beach were attentive and would come when you put up your flag they gave you. Nice beach.
Cons: Replace the mattresses. Feed the cats so guests don't have to worry and sneak them food. Be faster about repairing things like the walkway.
Location: Nice beach.
The good: The servers on the beach were attentive and would come when you put up your flag they gave you. They had a beautiful romantic bonfire with a wonderful acoustic singer. The food was fine-- not that many restaurants from which to choose-- but okay for what it is. Don't expect chocolate when you come to Jamaica-- they simply cannot do desserts for whatever reason. The beach is nice and chairs/tables plentiful. I like that at least one of the workers feeds the 2-3 cute cats that roam the resort. The bad: It is small with only 2-3 restaurants. The best was the café that made jerk chicken and cheese burgers and the buffet, if that's telling you anything. Don't waste the $170 on the private beach table. The food was not great and the service lacking. It is very dated in its décor with no where to put your clothes except in the closet. The ugly: The atrium rooms (don't know about other rooms) have an open bathroom. You can close the door, but since it is not enclosed, your partner will hear you tinkle. I guess that passes for...intimacy? They have the hardest, worn beds I've ever slept upon. The cats are very cute and innocent and most of the guests liked them, but they do act scared around the employees-- so I guess that most disregard or loathe them. Sad.

Great hotel that gives the Jamaica feelPosted Dec 1, 2014
Pros: The staff and the casual restaurants and the martini bar.
Cons: The night-life.
it was an amazing hotel on 7 mile beach. The staff there were so friendly. It is not a traditional high-rise hotel, and the beach there is really long. I learned to wake board there and the dive shop was very accommodating. I really loved this place. It even had a martini bar!!

The Perfect BeachPosted Nov 28, 2014
Pros: There is really nothing not to like about Swept Away.
Cons: The only area in need of improvement would be the mini-bar service which was hit or miss at times.
Location: There was no reason to leave the resort other than a long beach walk in either direction.
Swept Away has the best swimming beach we have seen so far! The water was warm, few large waves, and soft sand with no rocks. Grab an adult beverage from one of two beach bars and float all day on the very nice rafts that double as your lounge chair cushion. Make sure you get a special Bob Marley shot or two from the swim-up bar during your stay. This was our first time to Jamaica and we can’t wait to return. Now we understand when they say “once you go, you know.”

Another incredible stay!Posted Nov 26, 2014
Cons: The only thing I could pinpoint, would be the promptness of the morning room service.
Location: The location is spectacular and we didn't do much outside of the resort but those options are available with shuttles through the resort!
This was our second stay to Couples Swept Away and we were just as charmed this time, as we were last! The hotel staff were wonderful and unlike Mexico and Cozumel, they were not "expecting" the tips for amazing service. The food.....I am still craving. I had forgotten just how incredibly flavorful everything was and not to scare anyone, it's also surprisingly healthy; it is no doubt prepared by a very talented chef, out of natural ingredients that blew us all away. In fact, our stay was five amazing nights and during our travels home, just hours after eating our first Americanized cuisines, all of us were feeling quite "uncomfortable"; the difference between fresh products and processed was very evident. The rooms....our beach front suites were outstanding; the true streamlined tropical/island feel that all of us appreciated, over the typical hotel rooms with their cheesy décor. We all appreciated the cleanliness and the upkeep daily, along with being able to hear the ocean as we fell asleep and then upon awakening. Overall, the setting and atmosphere is just so intimate and stress-free, with the ability to be very low-key or as active as you choose.

Excellent!!Posted Nov 17, 2014
It was an excellent choice we made to stay at couples swept away. It was our first time trip to Jamaica and to the surprise this resort has and will exceed the expectations any one has. The front desk staff, activities coordinators, room cleaning staff, chefs, so on are just awesome. Overall it was a great and pleasant stay at couple resort. Food was just excellent. There were every day social events like basket weaving, dye the shirts, learn how to speak Jamaican language & so on so forth. The security staff was nice and completely responsible. We are planning to visit this place soon again.... I would strongly recommend this resort to any one who is planning to visit Jamaica.

This was our second visit to a Couples location, and it did not disappoint us. The best, friendliest staff you could ask for from the moment you arrive, to the moment to leave. If you have not been to a Couples resort, it is a MUST. You will never want to visit another resort again!
