The garden setting for the rooms is amazing, the staff are incredibly warm and welcoming ( shout out to Keegan, Erica and Lynette who were 5/5). The treehouses are a great idea and a nice change to the concrete buildings spread about the island. The beach is great with a little bar and snack venue and a choice of water sports. We didn’t dive this time but the divers we talked to were happy. The drinks are free flowing as are the smiles from the staff. Accommodation is quirky but fun. Bad stuff? The place really isn’t setup for non-carnivores etc - we were regularly pointed at the bowl of steamed veg when we asked for meat alternatives. This was probably the main area that brought the overall score down from a 5/5. If you like fairly unspiced food with a lot of meat then I am sure you would be very happy - but this seems to be what is catered for. Have to say that we did bring this issue up with staff several times - 2 evenings we got no change but our last evening at the a la carte the chef came out and sorted us out with a lovely meal which was great. Unfortunately a la carte needs booking and is only on for alternate nights. The alternative “venue” - the chefs special evening we were told we couldn’t attend as “chef cooks what he wants and doesn’t cater for vegetarian”. Having said that, breakfast was just fine as was a la carte lunch every day so this place could achieve amazing with a gentle nudge!
