"Great stay with a family of 4 and 3. Very comfortable beds and clean. Kitchen had everything we needed and more. Lots of room for kids to play. Host was very responsive. Loved the views of the river in the snow. Was a pleasure staying here and would love to come back next year."

"What a great house! Larger/nicer than it looks in photos and super clean. It was very comfortable and we had two families with 5 kids total. Minutes away from skiing at Tahoe Donner. Bring your own board games, pantry staples, and throw blankets. It was not well stocked, otherwise highly recommended."

"We really enjoyed our time in the cabin and we hope to come back for a longer stay later this year. The cabin was a perfect size for us and was filled with sunlight through all the windows. The location is fantastic in a quiet neighborhood and right next to a beautiful creek. It was very clean and had pretty much everything you would need to cook a meal."

"Beware some bathrooms have no privacy if you are sharing rooms with friends. One needs to leave the bed room to allow for privacy. One of our party left their I-watch there and was unable to retrieve it. Find my watch was showing it there and that someone charged it. The host was unable to find it through his housekeeping staff. So either the next guest took it or the house keepers kept it."

"This place was perfect for a group of friends. It’s not obvious from the listing, but both bunk beds are full size and have a trundle, so 5 people comfortably slept in each room. The living room/kitchen was a cozy fit for all of us, but it was great for playing games and relaxing after a ski day. One thing we didn’t realize- only one of the bathrooms has a shower, the other is just a tub. Overall great stay, clean and well-kept house."

"We enjoyed our stay at the Capone Getaway. This 5 bedroom/3 bathroom house plus a loft provided plenty of space for our family gathering. The kitchen is filled with everything we needed plus some. The location was perfect for us in Soda Springs. A few drawbacks were: (1) The cabin entry was very icy so we had to remove and de-ice the iced over rubber mats before our family arrived so no one would slip getting into the cabin; (2) Some of the beds were too soft and pillows should be...

"This is one of the best places that I have ever stayed; the rooms are clean with tons of character. I love the style and the history of the place. There is a yard with a large outdoor kitchen and other fun games and stuff. Great for the kiddos! I'd like to find a reason to go back to the area just so that I can stay at this place again! And the American River is just right down the road (if you don't mind driving a gravel road). Love it and would definitely recommend! "

"Overall wonderful. Great location with some traffic noise from the freeway across the yard. Some foot traffic noise above us upstairs. Maybe slippers are in order to reduce the noise. Both times we stayed here the bathroom tub has a very slow drain. This time, the towels were rough, just in from hanging outdoors. Soft and cushy is best. We love the lighting in the yard and fairy light projection touch!"

"This was our second time staying here. It's such a nice house. Lots of attention to detail like cut flowers in the kitchen, making up the sofa bed in advance of our arrival, being flexible on check-in time. We love how close the house is to both downtown Grass Valley and Nevada City. Would definitely recommend."
