Stinky hotel

Posted Sep 9, 2014
I would love to get my money back. The entire hotel stunk like mildew. I couldn't stand it and didn't end up staying there. I got a room across the street at the Courtyard Marriott.

Great breakfast

Posted Sep 3, 2014
Pros: Breakfast
Cons: Cleanliness
Location: Good location
Breakfast room in lobby, amazing breakfast! Eggs, sausage, cereal, rolls, yogurt, oatmeal, rolls, waffles, drinks....way better than other super 8 hotels. Lobby restroom was dirty, needed cleaned. Room ok. Hot tub had scum line, didn't get to use.

Pleasure trip to be say I've been to Iowa.

Pros: well stocked breakfast and pricing.
Location: Close to highway to get you where you want in the Quad cities. Local mall and shops nearby as well. 7 minutes away from the Mississippi River.
Excellent front desk staff. Housekeeper asked us if we wanted service to the room when we were stepping out for the day and she forgot. Beds not made, no new towels or amenities. The front desk helpful and apologetic for the housekeeper though. The housekeeper apologized the next day. Very good breakfast items. Fitness room has no venting and because it is close to pool and hot tub warm! Fair for the money and location.

Lobby & hallways were not air conditioned or clean. Breakfast didn't appear fresh. Room was clean & comfy. Only saw one staff member on duty. Best thing was price. Next time will spend more & stay elsewhere.

Crappy hotel!

Posted Jun 23, 2014
The Ramada was the same price (and was very nice!). The ramada was all booked up so we went with super 8. You pull up and realize its an older run down building (not what I thought I booked). The A.C. didnt work. We called and asked for another room. So they switched our room (which was nice). But then i hear all the rest of the people complaining it was too hot. while we tried sleeping we could here people talking, people walking up the stairs, the doors slamming everytime someone opened and closed their door! There was a party going on across the hall from us. The doors were so loud it startled me awake every time. There were little kids run in around everywhere screaming. We wanted a hotel with a pool and hot tub but we didnt get to enjoy that because all those kids were in the pool area everywhere. Breakfast was disgusting! The did have Florida orange juice but the rest was awful. Tiny piece of microwave sausage. Egg Pattie with a teaspoon of something in the middle that they attempted to make an omelette out of. They had little yogurt cups(I took the last one and I was there right when they served breakfast) and that was it for breakfast :( I feel ridiculous being a complainer but we really wanted an enjoyable trip and the hotel ruined it. I just wanted to go somewhere else but they wouldnt give us a refund ): go stay at the ramada. Its right by Old Chicago restaurant (which was sooo delicious)

Pros: zero
Cons: management
Room was dirty, no soap or shampoo. 4 towels for 6 people. Poor attitudes when I asked for more towels, took over an hour to get more towels

Nice, quiet and clean

We needed a place to stay last minute. It was close and affordable. The clerk was great. My kids had fun in the pool and we slept like babies. Thanks so much.

They need to put some $ into renovations

The hot tub was not hot. Disappointing. When I mentioned it, the attendant said since he has been employed there 6 months, it has been down 50% of the time. They had the same old shriveled up oranges out for breakfast both Saturday and Sunday. The trash can in the kitchen needed washed on it's exterior both days I was there. When I flushed my toilet the pipes moaned like a ghost was caught inside. A few of my "clean" towels had stains on them and so did the underside of the bedspread. No liner for the ice pail. The bed was comfy and it was nice they had a Vizio TV. It was quiet at night. Counter help were pleasant. Time for me to upgrade!

Hot tub was very cold.

Hot tub was very cold, you can NOT bring any extra kids to swim unless you pay 20.00 for each extra person. I think it was a little much to pay 20.00 for each one I think 10.00 or even 5.00. The bed was really hard and pillows were flat.
