Very poor location

Posted Aug 7, 2014
Over priced due to very poor location, noise factor, bathroom"toilet" outdated and needed maintenance support. We doubt that Expedia will be our travel source for future travel/vacations.

Great location and staff

Posted Jul 26, 2014
Pros: The room was great and newer furnishings. The staff was very friendly.
Cons: Wish they had a bigger pool but it was still very nice.
Location: The location and easiness of connecting up with the transit system to get around especially to Seaworld, Old Town, etc.
The hotel was a perfect fit for our vacation stay. It was close to Seaworld and a quick trip to Old Town and the beaches. The staff was very friendly and always willing to help out in any way they could. We really enjoyed their breakfast and had a variety to please myself and my daughter.

Disapointing hotel accommodation.

Posted Jul 20, 2014
Pros: Close access to Sea World
Cons: See comments above
Very disappointed. Room overlooked shabby old building. Not enough seating capacity at breakfast for guests. Had to park in overflow space in evening across the street from hotel. and had to move car by 8:00 am next morning. Pool area small space. Definitely not for a family with small children wanting to enjoy the pool area.

Nice place close to beach, avoid traffic.

Posted Jul 14, 2014
Pros: Close by to a lot.
Cons: Parking
Location: A lot of stuff close by
Too crowded during breakfast, eat early or wait until 9. Washers were down but who washes on vacation right? Elevator issues but I would go back. Parking too tight as well.

Very clean hotel, bad location

Posted Jul 9, 2014
Pros: Very clean
Location: Close to SeaWorld, bad area
We stayed here 1 night and the hotel was very clean. We didn't eat breakfast but the selection was what you would expect for free. We ate some fruit. The parking was tight. The location was bad but compared to the other hotels in the same area I'd say this one is farther away from everything, that's a plus as far as location. We stayed here with our 2 toddlers and we usually like to go outside and walk around with them but we couldn't do that here due to the location. The pool was in an odd location too. We didn't use it but we drove by it and the space was very tight. It's close to the freeway but we couldn't hear the freeway. The airplanes taking off from the airport were loud. As well as people talking outside, not the hallways but outside of the hotel. It was a very clean room but we probably won't be staying here again due to the location and airplane noise.

Seaworld and Shops

Posted Jul 5, 2014
Perfect location for Seaworld and for experiencing a bit of local US culture. Short walk to Denny's, CVS Pharmacy etc. My 3 daughters were almost as excited to wander through CVS as they were at Seaworld!

The breakfast makes up for a lot of inadequacies.

If you are going to sea world this is not within walking distance! The $150 room per night is pretty steep unless you are cramming 6-7 people in your room then the breakfast will have saved you some $. I found at least 3 bugs and 1 spider in my room. The pool is small but well landscaped around it. The air conditioner comes on and off at night so if you are a light sleeper that will bother you. I kept waking up when it went off because I was too hot.

Hotel in transient part of town

Posted Jun 19, 2014
Pros: I liked the updated hotel d├ęcor and the cleaning staff was friendly.
Cons: Have more on staff, the cleaning (housekeeping) needs to honor their guests a little more with quiet voices. 3rd party bills should be available!
Location: Sea World was very close by and this was major benefit
The hotel was in a less than desirable location. It is off the main hwy and centrally located near a CVS and Denny's restaurant. However, there were numerous transients walking along the street and felt unsafe to walk to Denny's to eat a hot meal. Their security officer was busy mopping floors instead of tending to our cars. The back hotel entrance was left open and numerous small children were unattended walking in and out to the pool area. As a mother of a young child I was shocked that the security in this hotel was minimal to none~ In the morning at 8am sharp, the cleaning crew was in the hallways talking loudly and bantering back and forth to one another while many of us vacationers were attempting to enjoy our vacations and get much needed rest. However, that was impossible with their cackling chatter! The food they offered was very basic... No bacon, no meats, etc. They had NO foods to accommodate anyone with Gluten allergies! Our view from the window, consisted of a dirty and grimy neighbor backyard that looked like the lot of Sanford and Son's movie from the 1970s sitcom! The staff was kind, however could not print me out a final bill because I booked my room from a 3rd party (Expedia), which I believe was bogus!

Nice hotel. Very close to Seaworld.

Posted Jun 18, 2014
Pros: Clean rooms and good breakfast every day.
Cons: Shortage in parking lot.
Location: Seaworld very close, you can see firework in the Mission park at 9:50 pm. Balboa park is the best!
This hotel located very close to Seaworld, food ad shopping.
