"The cabin was fully furnished with everything you could possibly need. My wife and I mainly sat by the firepit outside and enjoyed the quiet peace of nature. Amoung amenities, they even had firewood stored, even though I took my own. The host was very polite and considerate with every request. We will definitely be back!!! Book your trip to this place... "Don’t pass this listing up, this cabin has everything! There are 4 spacious bedrooms with comfortable beds. We each had our own space to retreat to! There were 4 bathrooms too, 2 are full and 2 are half. That came in handy with a larger group. The open living room/eat in kitchen area is large enough to fit 8 comfortably and is well appointed. "This is my second time staying at this property and it is just perfect for a relaxing getaway weekend. With great proximity to local establishments, it was the perfect spot for being able to relax with little excursions into town mixed in. I booked this property a second time because my dog absolutely loves the large, fenced in backyard and access to the river. Perfect spot for a getaway where you want to be surrounded by nature and take in all the fresh mountain air."

"Wow! This is an amazing place, my 11 year old daughter liked it more than the house we stayed at in wintergreen last year, which was very nice! All of the appliances were state of the art, she really enjoyed drawing on the screen on the fridge. Steven was an amazing host, very kind and responsive! "This place had everything we were looking for in a mountain retreat stay. Clean and well appointed with comfortable bed, plenty of room, hot tub was excellent. The fact we could bring our dogs made it even better. Super secluded with the woods surrounding it. Check in and out was a breeze and the property management company was top notch. "Came to Damascus to do the VA Creeper Trail. This cabin is only a few miles from downtown Damascus so it was super convenient. Just a touch off the beaten path and it was perfect! Nice open living room with high ceilings, pullout couch, cute bedroom downstairs, loft with 2 twin beds upstairs. Balcony off the back is perfect for coffee in the mornings and wine in the evenings. We will definitely be staying here again! Owners are very responsive and checkin/out was a breeze!"

We heard the flying squirrels and were lucky enough to have one float past the window. Nearby we enjoyed the Grayson Highlands State Park. We did a short hike and got to see some wild ponies. The home is beautifully decorated and you can tell the owner wants you to have a great experience."

"We came to Virginia from Michigan for our friend to visit with family she hadn’t seen in 12 years they live on Vetrans hwy. this was about as close as we could get a rental. It was wonderful. Had every amenity. Very clean. Well decorated and not broken down like some rentals. Hot tub was lovely. We fished and cooked breakfast but didn’t have enough time to do everything the lodge had to offer. You could easily stay for one or two weeks and stay busy! "Beautiful house, sounds of the river and the crickets was so relaxing. Didn’t catch any fish but the grandkids loved playing on and in the river’s edge. Large backyard for them to run around in while we could watch from the deck or the fire pit area. Just a wonderful place to relax and enjoy God’s beauty. Would gladly go back again. Grandma wanted to stay for a month, told her the rest of us needed to head back to work!!!"
