Reading a book on the screened in porch with a cup of coffee was my favorite part. It is a quiet place in the woods but close to many small and quaint towns to visit in Vermont. "We wanted a very quiet, private house to celebrate Easter with my daughter. This was the perfect place.... This cabin sits on 250 acres of a private estate. The pond, hiking trails, a covered bridge, and an old stone structure just added to the appeal. Our chocolate Lab had a blast exploring. We drove only once to the grocery store for all our food supplies. The stores are a bit farther than expected. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking tools and the bathroom was just big enough. "This was a perfect place to stay with several coworkers, as we conducted research on a nearby lake. Straightforward check-in and plenty of space for us to spread out. It is down a long dirt road (which is in great condition - very smooth and fine for all types of vehicles in summer), so feels quite remote despite having plenty of neighbors nearby. Quiet and comfy."
