"We loved the log cabin in the woods for our NYE celebration. It's quaint and has so much charm. The check-in process and communications were excellent. It is about 4.5 miles off the main road so it is in a remote area. It was great for us since we had our dog and it had a huge property for him to run around. Beautiful view, watch the sunset, easy access to Perkins Pond in the front yard, pine needle carpet - bring your crocks or Googone to get the sap off the bottom of your feet. We had a wonderfully peaceful girls' weekend and can't wait to do it again!"

"This is our second time staying here. This year I was a little disappointed in my stay at this house. We were informed on the day of arrival that the dryer was replaced and would be hooked up three days after the start of our rental. There was some dialogue with the local manager and the local managers supervisor during the course of our stay, but in the end we never had use of a dryer in the house. "This property was as described. We enjoyed the outdoor seating on the porch with Baptist Pond just steps away. Appreciated the cooling fans in the living room and bedrooms, which did not get too hot during our summer stay. We didn't use the kayak or paddleboat, but one of us did swim in the pond for exercise. We also enjoyed breakfast and dinners out in nearby New London (good restaurants there!). Overall, a comfortable spot for friends to relax and connect."

"The home is charming, immaculate and amidst woods with no neighbors in eye or earshot. It is on a dirt road, so an awd vehicle is a good idea. A stream runs along the driveway. The Ottauquechee River is across the road. The bathroom is on the first floor, and bedrooms on the second floor. The smoke detector goes off if you saute on the stove. I recommend learning how to turn off a wired in smoke detector. You should open the kitchen window when you saute, because most of the smoke detectors...
