"The staff were awesome…and whomever made the grits, they were divine! Our only issue were the plantation blinds on the 1st floor room were not sufficient to drown out the landscape lights near the windows, but we worked it out. I don’t recall that it was on the hotel listing, but they had social hour Mon - Wed with free wine/beer. We almost missed it! Great hotel near everything!"

The shared fridge didn’t work very well, had rotten milk in it, & the ice machine was broken but overall I would stay here again due to the value. "We'd read a lot of conflicting information about this place. Some people complained about construction updates, or the Valets, or whatever. We didn't have any problems when we were there. The staff and valets were super nice. The breakfast was great, and the rooms were quiet and comfortable. We'd highly recommended this place for a stay!"

"The rooms were very clean but out dated. The bathroom was very small. The bed was very clean and comfortable. This property just needs some serious TLC. The location is phenomenal. We were in walking distance to everywhere. It was a little hard to sleep because of the loud music from cars in the parking lot. The parking lot is so small and hard to park. "

"OH MY GOODNESS! EXCELLENT! EXCELLENT! SPECTACULAR! The yard and home are beautiful. I received a very warm welcome from Chemise. She served delicious breakfasts in the dining room every morning and was always available if I needed anything. Outside there are garden areas with chairs and tables. It was wonderful to sit and relax while hearing their water fountains. Amethyst Garden Inn is in a great neighborhood. Easy to walk to restaurants, shops and tourist spots.
