This hotel was a very nice place to stay. I will absolutely stay there again when I go back for a visit. The price was right!!

A hidden find

Although the hotel is difficult to find since it is buried in an upscale office park, once there it was a pleasure to stay. Staff were very courteous (although they could benefit from some additional assistance at the desk), room was expansive and clean, free internet connection at a desk you could position to watch CNN while doing emails. Great neighborhood to go running (or walking) in and very close to a 35 mile long running/biking/walking trail.

Very enjoyable stay

The hotel is a nice serene setting. It was extremely clean. Check in was prompt & courteous. The room was spotless & very well appointed. The bed was one of the most corfotable we have ever slept on. It was almost luxurious especially considering the reasonable rate charged for the rro. Keep up the good work. Thank you from both my husband & I.

BEST KEPT SECRET!

We had a pleasant stay. Family came in for a wedding and we were quite pleased overall. Free parking, hot breakfast and a nice pool for relaxing. Very convenient to highways. Of course you can always find something that you wished could have been better - like not enough fruit at breakfast time (I never saw fruit but I heard that there was some) and the ice machine that did not work on the 5th floor (so you had to go to the first floor every time you needed ice) but for the price - you can’t go wrong. I would definitely stay there again.

Absolutely Loved It...

We had the best time staying at this hotel. The rooms were clean, the beds were comfortable and the towels were soft. The employees were polite and went the extra mile to make sure our stay was enjoyable. We travel a lot with our children and this was one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in. The parking lot was well lit at night and the key card access gave us that extra sense of security knowing that not just anybody could come inside the hotel. We already have our rooms booked for our next stay!!

If you are traveling with kids, the Central Florida Zoo & Botanical Garden is a few miles down the road in Sanford. To quote my 4 year old, it’s "Awesome". We all enjoyed it...

Will Stay Again - Next Visit

The hotel was easily accessible and convenient for my visit; close to everything I needed; without the hassle of the busier tourist area hotels. The staff was excellent; always able to answer my questions about location of stores, restaurants, etc.; they always had a pleasant smile and greeted everyone when they came into the hotel. I especially enjoyed the quiet and peaceful surroundings - you could go out and walk around the lake or through the tree lined avenues in peace. I also enjoyed the continental breakfasts (light, tasty, and appropriate for my tastes and needs). What really makes the hotel is the staff and everyone was excellent. I would recommend this hotel for people who like to be comfortable without the hassle.

Comfortable rooms with a large desk and internet access in the room. Conference rooms and exercise facilities handy in the hotel. Free continental breakfast. Quiet and peaceful so you can be ready for the next day’s work. Close to some excellent restaurants.

La Quinta not the best

This hotel shoots themselves in the foot with NUMEROUS signs telling the customer that they aim to provide awesome service and a perfect stay. For me it brought attention to their problems. 1) Elevator was full of trash 2) The coin-opearted dryer was "out of order." 3) The A/C would not operate in the fitness center. 4) The thermostat in the room did not work correctly, although I was able to adjust and do a work around. 5) The clock radio was still set to EST instead of EDT (in July). 6) A dog was loudly barking on the third floor hallway at 11:30 p.m. I could not sleep. 7) Children were running and shouting in the hallway later than that.

Great place!

Very clean, feels newer, very well maintained. Would definitely stay here again. Breakfast is meager, though.

The room we stayed in was listed as recently remodeled. The room was beautiful, one of the nicest !

I was traveling for a death in the family. I did not want to deal with children ready to go to Disney. I thought this would be off that beat and I was correct. There were no screaming children. I was also able to relax in the pool and hot tub. The hotel security was wonderful about the hotel pool hours, and allowing a couple of mature adults to relax a little later then advertised. They were absolutely wonderful!!

This seemed like a great place if you wanted to stay away from a child crazy hotel. Very peaceful, and exactly what we needed going there to handle a death in the family.

You get what you pay for

My husband and I wanted to save a few bucks when we traveled to Florida for our son’s graduation, so we decided we’d stay at this hotel in Lake Mary rather than in Orlando. We were woon reminded of the phrase "you get what you pay for." The breakfast offered is better than just donuts and o.j., but still lacking good items we’ve had at other hotel breakfasts. The breakfast bar workers were stingy and unfriendly, too. When I asked if there were more yogurts, the worker there only signaled to her helper to get one out of the fridge, but never said a word to me. Our first day there, our room never got cleaned. When my husband called the desk to ask why, we were told it was because we left our "Do Not Disturb" card in our door until 11 a.m. We were unaware of such a policy. My husband had to go downstairs to get clean towels from the front desk. Finally, although we asked for a non-smoking room, cigarette smoke managed to flow into our room through the vents, or we were nearby rooms that did allow smokers. Kind of defeated the purpose of getting non-smoking room. Overall, we were not impresed.

First time at La Quinta

This was our first time staying at a La Quinta Inn. We were pleasantly surprised at both the quality of service and the comfort of the hotel. The hotel’s close proximity to restaurants (fast-food and others) and convenience stores/shopping (Target, K-Mart, etc.) was a great convenience.

Lots of options in the surrounding area. If you take W. Lake Mary to International Parkway and proceed until you get to the Marriott hotel (on your right), there is "Bistro..." - I can’t remember the whole name -- in the Marriott and then out back there is a Japanese restaurant ("Sha", I believe) that were both great!

What a bargain...this is a GREAT hotel!!!

I cannot believe that a hotel of this class can offer such good rates! You would expect to pay double for such a nice hotel! The room was large and extremely clean and comfortable. Beautiful large bathroom. Nice pool and court yard area with a gazebo. Very helpful friendly staff. Nice little continential breakfast included and free WiFi in the room and throughout the hotel. What more could you ask for! I would just like to see a mini fridg and micro in all the rooms. Other than that, perfect...and will definitly be back. Highly recommended!

Excellent place to stay

I was very satisfied with my stay in this hotel. The only issue I had was that it was a little hard to find since is was off on a side street, and it was late. But everything else was wonderful!

Very Comfortable

We enjoyed our stay in a pleasant,clean room. The people at the front desk were helpful and courteous. My daughter loved the pool which was located in an attractive setting.

Nice hotel between the ocean and Orlando parks

Nothing special about this hotel, I was looking for the cheaper hotels and was in fact expecting a much worse one. This one was clean and with good service. The breakfasts were not worth getting up early, but eatable. They have a small pool and gym, but I didn’t use them.

Very clean...

The pool is beside a bunch of trees so the pool stays covered in leaves but the pool guy was there everyday cleaning. The hotel was clean and comfortable and the staff were helpful when needed, just remember to take change to the vending machines because it refused to take dollars. Overall very much worth the money...PS if you plan on going to Disney or any attraction in Orlando know that it is at least a 30-45 minute drive but the convenient thing is that it is also a 30-45 minute drive to Daytona to spend a day @ the beach!

Good Value

I chose this hotel because of its location between Daytona and Disney. I was pleasantly surprised by the ease of check-in, quality of room, and the free breakfast. The only issue I had was that the refrigerator in the room had juice in it from the previous guest. Other than that I was very happy with the size of the room. It also was very quiet and very relaxing. I would definitely use this hotel again.

I was very pleased with my room. It was spacious and clean. The front desk was helpful and I would stay there again.

Good Location

I had to visit Lake Mary for a business trip and this hotel is right across the street from the corporate offices. It was pretty clean, but could have used some touch-up work (paint and cleaning in the corners) in the bathroom. Overall, it was a pleasant stay. The employees were pleasant and helpful. It was not real quiet--the walls seems a little thin, but that’s not unusual for a hotel...

disappointed

I had stayed there a few years ago and it was quiet, clean, new and seemed very safe. A few weeks ago I stayed there and it felt run down, young people walking and talking up and down the halls late at night, security locks on lobby doors early in the evening....just felt like every other roadside hotel!

Decent hotel close to restaraunts and I-4

This was a typical hotel with a breakfast station in the morning. Your normal items such as cereals, make your own waffles, bananas and oranges and muffins. Room was bad: plush pillows, a desk, cable tv, wireless internet. Had a pool, which I did not visit with a hot tub that was being serviced. Friendly staff.

too layback management

I believe i got a good deal for the price of what i’ve paid for the 3 nights. although, few things really turned the price joy away. 1st when i called front desk no one answer the phone.*mutiple times* when i finally got hold of them i set up wake up call during the day at 4 30 pm due to my meeting. well, i received the call the next day at 4 30 am. i was so mad that i did not want to even talk about this later on with manager. another thing is when i need to get my clothes clean their drier did not work. and person at front desk could not give me another alternative to get my clothes clean.(this service was a must-due to uniform requirement) anyhow, if you need place to come throw your bags and go, come back and sleep. this will be not too bad. they also, provide little breakfast in the morning and wireless connection for internet which was also pain in ())) to get through some days.

Inrternet capabilities

The Lake Mary, Florida LaQuinta was exceptional, with one major issue - there was no internet capabilities that functioned in either my room, the main desk, etc. A suggestion was made to try to connect in one of the rooms that supposedly had internet capabilities. No luck. I thought it might be my equipment until another guest complained of the same thing happened to him. I use the internet in my business travels constantly and this is the first time that I had trouble of this magnatude. I did manage to get on the network at another facility within a mile of the hotel.

facilities lacking

My daughter and I stayed here the week following Christmas 2008. When we first got in, our room was not up to the higher standards I expected from the reviews I had read here. There were a few dirty towels and some minor trash on the floor. A light bedside light bulb was out. Also the bedside phone did not work for calls received; I had to use the one at the desk whenever a got a call. I had to ask for replacements of coffee packets and sometimes even towels. Service was good; whenever I had a problem it got resolved quickly. The elevator was having issues; sometimes getting stuck at a floor. Being on the 5th floor this was a little bit of a problem for us. The pool was not open; something about a drain part that no one in Florida could get. I was told "all the pools in Florida" were closed from the same problem but it was not true. Their business center was not functioning so I had to find another place to print my boarding passes for my return flight. Breakfast was OK but since we were so far from most of the Orlando attractions, we left early and rarely got more than a bagel or yogurt. If you are in Orlando with family to see the main parks, stay in south Orlando area. I recommend near Seaworld. We had problems with noisy, inconsiderate guests and smoking on our non-smoking floor. No traffic noise, though. And the (king size) bed was comfortable (though linens were yellowed and worn).

Our room had a refrig and microwave. Check the frig’s temp as ours froze our fruit the first night. Shop just down the street at Albertson’s for groceries as well as any food franchise you can imagine. Just off I-4 for convenience.
