Hotel was in a good location and had everything that you might need with friendly staff members, But we did find it a little loud at night ,

Not impressed

Was very aggrevated to find no hot water in the room both days we stayed. When I called the FD they told me that they would call the maintanence man but that it was just because everyone was talking a shower at the same time and should let the shower run. But when the 4th person in the room finally got in it was completely ice cold. I can not believe that hotel of this size would have that kind of a problem all the time.

this Hotel was Fairly good!

The Regal Sun Hotel is fairly decent place to stay. The hotel staff was excellent, polite, and family friendly. This Hotel was remodeled nicely. It’s location is awesome considering it’s right next to downtown Disney. The shuttle service ride is convient to and from the attractions. The rooms of the hotel still have a bit of work to be done, the air ducks really need a good cleaning. The bathroom shower tub can use a good scrubbing with clorox. The hotel needs to invest in better towels and sheets a bit ragged out from long time use. Overall not the best but surely better then other surround Hotel in the area.

You get what you pay for!

The public areas of the hotel are wonderful: check-in was fast and the employees were friendly and helpful, the restaurant food was great and service was prompt and courteous, the store is well-stocked, and the pool was absolutely amazing. Transportation to and from the theme parks was on-time and reliable. The hotel’s location is great, just across the street from Downtown Disney. The hotel had valet parking, but we chose to park our car, the parking lot was very accesible to the rooms, and well lit, and we had no problem finding a parking place. The only problem we had was with the cleanliness of the rooms. When you compare the public areas vs the rooms we found a very marked difference. The room was not very clean, the nightstand was dirty and dusty, as was other furniture in the room. Also during the length of our stay we never got our towels or toiletries changed. But, considering the great price we got, we were very pleased with the hotel!

Take a bottle of water to the theme parks! You can refill at the water fountains and save lots of money when you’re thirsty.

A Fine Time in a Okay Corral!

Easy to locate using our GPS. The lobby was quite nice. Our room was clean and satisfactory. Had a good night sleep sp wer were ready for Disney in the morning. It was quiet and we enjoyed our 2 night stay. Although we did not take advantage of the pool it was a family area and we would love to come back and bring our grandsons.

Revamped hotel not quite what we expected =0

The hotel smells awful!!! I know they said they revamped it...but i have no idea where they put all that money. The rooms are outside, unless you stay in the "tower" but trust me they are not that much better. If you do not care to much about things, then you will be ok. I guess I am a brat, but it was no Hilton!!! I felt as if i was in a Red Carpet in. Sorry. The maid that cleaned our room was great, the pool was great. Be careful with the breakfast is included for kids... because they look at you like you do not know what you are talking about. The tattoo man at the pool was awsome!! The location is great.

Great Location for a Great Price

The hotel is minutes away from downtown Disney and a 15 minute walk from a market place that has more restaurants and a 24 hour grocery store (the prices of everything at Disney are horribly inflated). The hotel gym and pool were great to have. A seemingly little known fact about transportation from the airport: you don’t have to take the shuttle to the hotel. You can take the public transportation Lynx bus #111 from the airport straight to the hotel (and back of course)! The bus was excellent and ran on schedule every hour. Can’t beat 2 dollars!

Not bad....

Great location for a fair price. Don’t expect high-level service. Maid service was barely adequate - most days left with dirty coffee pot and no replacement coffee. Room was decently clean otherwise. Disappointed that the pool and hot tub area was shut down every day at 10 pm while the hotel next door was open 24 hours. Great location for Disney Downtown.

Honest Regal Sun Resort review

Smallest pillows for a kingsize bed. Even a child would hit their head on the shower head. Noisy exterior and thin walls. Old outdated rooms. Sofa pillows for bed pillows.

Awful

We were not put in the tower part of the hotel but a random building next to it and it was awful. The walls were paper thin and we could hear a dad next to us whispering to his kids to get up at 6am!! We had been at Disney til midnight so waking up at 6 was not a good thing. Also being out there you could hear EVERYTHING outside, car doors, people talking, doors from other rooms shutting. Then at 8:30 the housekeeping came pounding on our door....check out isnt til 11! The room was very small and not nearly as nice as the pictures. We have stayed at other Walt Disney World Resorts in the area and have always been impressed but I will never stay at this hotel again. The only good thing was that they offered complimentary buses to and from the parks but the other hotels in the area do the same.

Pay the extra money to go to a special event Disney is having for ex. the Not So Very Scary Halloween Party or Mickeys Very Merry Christmas party. These events are just as much as a regular ticket but you go from 4 to midnight, it’s cooler in the evening and they only sell a certain number of tickets so the lines for huge rides such as splash mountain are only about 10 minutes!

Great simple family hotel, with perfect location!

This hotel was perfect for a short trip to Orlando, and in particular Disney World. I liked the no-fuss attitude, meaning we didn’t have to always go through the lobby to get to our rooms, and we could just surface park and take the elevator to our room. Kids pool area is a great amenity to have after a long day at Disney and being a short walk to Downtown Disney is a huge perk. The part of the hotel we stayed in is the most outdated, but it totally worked for us. ONLY DOWNFALL, when talking to the concergie, she got me wrapped up in a time-share tour when I was only asking where a good steak restaurant was.... Otherwise 90% perfect!!!

If going to Downtown Disney with kids, but you want a nice dinner, we took the kids to the "Disney McDonalds" for happy meals to go, and brought them into Gloria Estefan’s restaurant, Mambo (or something like that).... They ate the food they liked, and we had great dinners and drinks in an adult atmosphere...

Splish Splashin at the Regal Sun

We flew into Orlando to look at properties in Florida and not to go to Disney World, which is right across the street. The staff was very upbeat, helpful and courteous. We had a "pool view" room, which was fine and neat, but not overly large. The real gem of the place was the pool area. There were a couple great pools, and a whole mini-waterpark area that were so great it really made the stay fun. The waterpark is basically for kids but was also a blast for us adults. The price on Expedia for a night was very reasonable, which was really commendable considering the quality of the resort and the proximity to Disneyland. I would definitely recommend this hotel/resort, and especially at the price.

Fine for the Price

The place is reasonably comfortable for an older, "budget" hotel. Pool area is a real asset it what is otherwise a plain, utilitarian property. For a dad and a teenage son who just neede a place to flop at night that was close to the Disney attractions, it was fine. If you need more comfort, you shouldn’t be looking in this price range.

Filthy rooms, Nothing like the pictures

What a disappointment, with all the money they make you would think they would clean the place up. Not better than any 1 star hotel in quality and staff had extremely bad attitudes. Shame for Disney and its reputation. I wont ever go back.

Still Nice

I used to stay at this hotel when is was The Grosvenor, at that time it was good, clean, a nice place to stay for Disney World and Downtown Disney, now that it has been relaunched as Regal Sun , an updated version of the old one it is still clean, nice, and a good value for Disney, highly recommend it, the pool is great

Close and Convenient

The hotel is inexpensive and good for the rating. It’s not luxury. The rooms were fine. I was not blown away but did not expect to be. They have convenient park options and are across the street to downtown disney. Reception was slow in the morning and at night (when we checked in). If you get the rates we did from online sources, then go ahead and stay there. The pool is pretty neat... but we didn’t use it.

Across the street is downtown disney... which has great places to dine for less money than your average disney meal.

Great value!

Best hotel I’ve stayed in where the bedroom door opens to the outside. It was nice, clean, and well kept along with a great price. Definitely on my plans to come back!

It’s the nicest hotel I’ve stayed out where the door to the room opens to the outside. The room was clean and well kept. Prices were also very good. I enjoyed the playground pool and lobby bar. Definitely on my plans to come back!

Older Property but updated and clean

This is an older hotel but it has been recently updated and is very well maintained. The staff is excellent and the rooms are good sized and well appointed. I would recommend this hotel, great value for the price.

Are you serious

I chose this hotel mainly because of the discount being provided. When I walked in the lobby I was like WOW! Then I found my room and questioned if I was in the same hotel. The room smelled like mildew and did not look clean. I was running late for a meeting so I did not have an opportunity to address it. The walls are paper thin. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone nor would I EVER stay here again.

Not impressed

You can’t sleep , all the time with noyse , at 3:00 am and still the noyse.

loved our stay i can’t say enough good things about this hotel....the staff is the best Dewan was wonderful and Drew was great,,,,they are the best...the best customer service we have ever had any where we have stayed, our room was spotless, and they treated us like we we’re rock stars, they made our getting to the airport easy it was a great vacation....we Love Regal Sun and will be staying there again and i have told all our friends............

Right across the street from Downtown Disney, so great location. Beautiful pool, but way too cold. We would stay there again.

Convienient to Disney

We enjoyed our stay here. The rooms were very nice and had an excellent view of Downtown Disney! The only issue is there is not enough parking at this hotel and we had to park along side a curb. My husband was afraid all night that our vehicle would get hit.
