Extremely Satisfied with the Hotel

The Hotel is in a prime location and the workers were very helpful. I would recommend staying at this Hotel and if I had to visit again, this is where I would stay!

Good Value in WDC

It is a nice facility and good value for the money. Our room was large, though I’d suggest more lighting and better use of the space the couch/hideabed occcupied.

Excellent value for the money.

The hotel staff was great! Very helpful and attentive. Location of the hotel was excellent. Was able to walk to most of the tourist destinations. The only downside with the hotel itself is that the room we stayed in was pretty small. It had one queen bed and that bed took most of the space. I asked to see if they had larger rooms, the only thing I was offered was a room with two queen beds. If you are looking just to spend the night and not planning to spend a lot of time in your room, this hotel works. I would stay in it again.

Great no frills hotel in excellent location and great price.

I was very satisfied with this hotel. Excellent price, easy walk to the Mall (1 mile), very clean and comfortable, and no excessive frills or needless luxuries.

Not impressed

Great location, great staff, great service, the free internet was a good addition, but hotel facilities are in dire need of update/renovation.

Would definately go back. Convenient location.

The staff made an excellent impression from the front desk on arrival, the dining room staff, and again on departure. TV in room had audio problems which we reported before dinner and was fixed by the time we returned.

Eat at Founding Farmers over by GW. Great organic food.

Overall very nice experience and great location in DC

For an old hotel - it was well kept and clean. there is a floor that has outdoor patios - was told there was not - so dont understand that one. Rest/Bar was nice - nice HH specials and quality and price was great. Staff was nicet, room was nice & clean, but hsekpg needs to speak/understand english.

I was really satisfied with the 4 elevators...they were all fast working and handy...never had to wait in the lobby or on my floor...thx!

Secret treasue

Great value, well situated close to bus and taxi. Walked to the White House. Staff friendly and later checkout than usual. Would definitely go back and will recommend.

Nice Hotel for Short stay

This hotel was decent for the 2 day trip my husband and I took to tour the capital. I would not recommend it for longer than that. The rooms are very small and the beds are’t very comfortable, but it was affordable, clean and in a good location. (Not seedy). The metro is just a few blocks from the hotel which is very convenient. Not a lot of affordable food options near the hotel.

Easy access, clean and friendly

Hi, This hotel has nice clean rooms. Located in the middle of everything but you still need to walk to get to places. Close to Union Station. Great that is has FREE internet. Buffet breakfast is well prices and a great convenience. This is my second time here and I’d stay again. I did need a printer though to print tickets we bought and there was no where to print. The service desk did let me print from there.

Nice Lobby pity about the rest

The reception lobby was very nice and contempory looking, however the hallways to the rooms have a disgusting purple theme, the total opposite to the reception lobby. The Swimming pool was closed after Labor day which was not mentioned prior to booking which was a huge dissapointed considering the weather was 90 degrees. Apart from those let downs it was an ok place to stay.

Great Stay!

I stayed for three nights at the Washington Plaza Hotel and really enjoyed my stay! The staff was friendly, the room clean, and the location was incredible! (Just a couple blocks from the White House and Mall)

Has gone down a bit

Due to the great location ~1 min from the McPherson Square Metro(and positive experiences I’ve had in the past), I’ve stayed here several times, but the most recent visit was a bit of a letdown. The room was more than a bit scruffy and the AC was inadequate for DC in August.

Served Its Purpose

Good location for a good price. The hotel is nothing fancy but served its purpose. The kids enjoyed the pool and my husband enjoyed the free wireless. I would only stay again if I got another good deal. It is three blocks from the metro.

Good quality hotel

Nice hotel, huge rooms with good amenities. The hotel was very helpful and friendly with a slight mix up of our rooms.

This was a very clean Hotel. Nice Lobby. Room was very plain, but clean. Nice Pool Area. Reasonable Rates. A long walk to the train for my taste. Friendly people.

Clean, efficient, Great Location and value

Took our family of 8 up this July in 2 cars from Florida. Staff was very nice and put us in two rooms next to each other with a door that closed to the hall to make them adjoining. Beds were comfortable and bathroom was clean. Neither the room or the bathroom were very spacious and our view sucked, but that wasn’t why we booked this place anyway. It’s a good value and the location is safe and within walking distance to everywhere. We did not move our cars all week.

Our best dinner was at Logan Tavern. If you are homophobic, you will not be happy though.

Great bargain

The hotel is currently undergoing renovations, but they are nearly done. We were able to secure a great rate because of this, and ended up feeling like we were staying in a 4 star hotel. Perfect location, comfy room. Well worth it.

OK place to stay

The room and the bed were very comfortable. The location was quite convenient to the conference center, just a short walk away. It was also really nice to eat outside at the pool, the staff there were quite friendly and accommodating. Several problems though, first, the signal strength of the wireless Internet was one to zero bars making it impossible to connect and quite inconvenient! Second, the hotel was one of the "conference hotels" for the conference I was attending, but the hotel staff seemed to know little about the details of the conference shuttle bus. Third, some but not all hotel staff were able to give good suggestions for decent restaurants within walking distance.
