"I like the location, halfway between the cathedral and Sabana park. There's always someone at the front desk. The gate is locked, so you ring a bell for someone to open it. Feels safe. I arrived at midnight, and was able to get into my room. I had some problem with an ATM machine, and one lady at the front desk helped me to call the bank. Fan works, but very noisy. Pretty good wifi. Now the negative: no place to hang anything. No cups. Street noise and the door bell are not good for light...

"Staying here for 2 days was the best part of our trip to Costa Rica! We were treated like family! Albert Alonso the owner is a wonderful chef and he makes everything himself. "The nicest and sweetest family runs this hostel. I broke my phone during my trip and the lady that runs it went out of her way to help me order a taxi ride on a local ride app with her phone to make sure I got the airport safely to get home. She didn’t speak English but that didn’t stop her being a great person and helping me out. Showers could use more warmer water but overall not issues "
