“The hotel was tidy but not well maintained. The elevator got stuck with us inside it. It wouldn’t let us push any of the buttons including the call button. I had to use my cell phone to call the front desk. They knew exactly what was wrong (the up button gets stuck) and fixed it quickly, which seems to indicate that it has happened before. The room was ok but shabby. The bathroom door had a huge dent in it and wouldn’t shut all the way. The staff was friendly and kind.”

“Our stay at Cypress Moon Inn was idyllic! The home is close to amenities. Cocooned on a large waterfront lot in a haven of trees, you feel miles away from the bustle. Upon arrival, Linda warmly greeted us and ensured our comfort before offering a dinner suggestion. Ocean Boulevard was a spot-on recommendation! The next morning, Greg shared local knowledge of the greater Outer Banks region. We followed several of his suggestions, resulting in an engaging and lovely day of exploration. The……

“It's a great stay. I really enjoyed the time with the swimming pool and the hot tub. The bed is also very comfortable except the room is not very soundproof. I woke up few times in the morning around 7am by some person yelled in the hallway to their kids. ”

“Cute little dormer had everything we needed. Much more than a “room rental.” Owners very helpful and anxious to please. Abundance of info given on surrounding areas and dining. We thoroughly enjoyed all the dining options they recommended. We should have paid more attention to the detail that renters need to climb 3 sets of stairs. We did not have a problem with that (other than ground or second floor would have been easier) or but others may. A good experience for us. ”

“Clean, comfortable and affordable room with nice shower! Bri met us with a smile and showed us around the place. We were not able to use the cute fire-pit area or tiki bar due to inclement weather, but I'm sure it's a hit on nice evenings. Coffee and tea are available 24/7 in the main house. Rooms come with a fridge which is great if you go out to eat and have leftovers. Centrally located on the island. ”

“My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at The Tranquil House Inn in Manteo while we explored the Outer Banks. The rooms and service were great, and the location right on the water in downtown Manteo was perfect. Manteo has a charming downtown that offers plenty of shops and attractions without feeling too touristy. We also really enjoyed the light breakfast offerings each morning and the staff were so friendly and helpful.”
