“Could use some cleaning”

“The room could have been cleaned better. There was leftover food from the previous guest in the fridge. The room we had was a no-pets and nonsmoking room, but it had a smell of animals combined with cigarette smoke. The pool area and pool were clean.”

“The hotel was quiet and staff was friendly. Room was as expected, but the desk lamp did not work, and the bathroom vanity mirror light fixture didn’t work, either. The remaining lights were of such a low wattage that it was difficult to read. I think the attempt to save energy backfires, since it just forces a person to turn on more lights to compensate. The nightly rate was much higher than past stays, possibly due to the time of year. Definitely not worth what you get for the price.”
